Week 29

I am now 2 weeks into my FINAL trimester!! I love that sound of that . . . FINAL trimester!! Besides not sleeping well and having acid reflux when I lay down everything is going good!! Up until last week, I was still wearing my regular pants and just using the hair tie trick. Well I was going thru some maternity clothes that Shelby gave me and found a pair of maternity pants and decided to try them on! They were SO comfortable! So I wore them to work that day and could totally tell a difference when I got home of how "sore" my lower belly was! And it was nice to not have any of the teenage girls I work with tell me that my zipper was undone! So on Saturday I decided to stop and get a pair that actually fit me (I had to low ride Shelby's cause she's shorter then me). I cant believe I waited so long to try maternity jeans.
Today I had one of my monthly doctors appointments! And this time they drew my blood for the Glucose Test! I have heard that the drink isn't that bad just tastes like over sugared Kool Aid! I don't agree with them what so ever!! When I was in 9th grade I had some testing done and had to drink some stuff that was similar. I threw that up all night, so drinking this all I was thinking to myself is DON'T THROW UP!!! But I am glad that it is over, and am anxious to hear the results! Then at the doctors office, I always have to lay down when they draw blood because I am not good with that AT ALL that is something I inherited from my Grandpa Max and my Mom! So both arms didn't give the nurse enough blood so the head nurse had to come in and finally got it to work, but she had to butterfly it, I think that's what its called!!
So in the last 4 weeks I gained 7 pounds so that puts me at gaining 18 pounds total, and I am measuring at 28!! The doctor said that everything looks and sounds perfect!!
At 29 weeks, babycenter.com says "Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is growing bigger to make room for her developing brain. To meet her increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And
because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of (calcium), such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day."
I had to make sure to let David know about the importance of calcium because I go threw about 2 gallons of milk a week by myself! I had called David awhile ago when he was at work and yet again asked him to pick up some milk on the way home from work because we were out. . . again. He responded with, "I might as well buy you a cow, it would probably be cheaper!"
So here is the baby bump at 28 weeks and 5 days!!

26 Weeks

Sorry if you are getting sick of all of my pregnancy posts, but I use this as my journal as well, so feel free to skip!!!
So I am now 26 weeks pregnant! 100 more days till my due date to be exact!! The last month went by a lot slower to me then the last one. However I am showing a lot more now, still not as big as others that are as far along as I am, but I am starting to be okay with not showing much, because I can only imagine how much more uncomfortable they are! So I love my small baby bump!!! Our little girl is very active but seems to get shy when I want to have others feel her move!! We had our monthly doctors visit a week ago, and the doctor says that everything is looking and measuring good! This last month I only gained 2 pounds, made me kind of nervous cause this is when I heard your supposed to be gaining the most (the last month I gained 8), but the doctor says not to worry about it!! Next appointment I have the glucose test! Wish me luck!!
Babycenter.com says this about being 26 weeks pregnant:
"The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel."We also got our baby furniture and David set most if it up yesterday! So once the nursery is all set up there will be pictures! And here's the baby bump picture!!
The picture above is taken at 26 weeks! Just about caught up with my sister when she was 22 weeks!! It still amazes me how 2 people with the same parents have such different body types, and carry their babies so differently!!!

Lia Makena

Sunday December 27 I was able to go to Lia's blessing. Unfortunately David had to work all day long and wasn't able to make it. Tom blessed Lia at church and did an amazing job. Then the Bishop put both of them on the spot and asked Shelby and Tom to bear their testimonies. They both did a great job and Lia looked adorable. Lia was also blessed in the same dress that Shelby was blessed in. Afterwards a lot of the family gathered at Tom and Shelbys house for some crakers, chips and dips! It was a great day!! Once again, I did awful at taking pictures but got some of Lia in her dress!! My New Years Resolution I think might just have to be to be better at taking pictures!Add Image

And my favorite picture of Lia was one that I took on Christmas Day!! She was SO smiley!!!

Our December

***Very Long Post***

David and I were able to take some time off work, and go to California one more time before our baby comes. We left on December 16, and came back left Monday December 21.

December 16, Wednesday
We stayed with David's Aunt Angela and her husband Justin in Laguna Nigeul. The first day we arrived Angela had prepared dinner for us. We had homemade Chili and Cornbread, it tasted so good. Later that night Angela, Dave and I went shopping at TJ Max and Target and then made ice cream with there AMAZING blender!!
December 17, Thursday
On Thursday David and I woke up to breakfast that Justin had cooked for us! It tasted great and we had freshly squeeze Grapefruit juice. Later on David and I visited his Grandma Nelly in Garden Grove before heading off to Disneyland! David LOVES Disneyland especially at Christmas. I like to give him a hard time for the pictures that he takes, I cant begin to tell you how many pictures of the same statues, or castles that we have, but I know that one day I will be grateful for it! I love that he gets SO excited about Disneyland and hope our kids will be just as excited! Anyways, I was not able to ride a lot of the rides so we were able to see some shows that we have never seen before. After walking around for along time. . .we headed back to Justin and Angela's house. Angela had made a Pot Pie for dinner that was also amazing. I hope to be as good as of cook as her one day!!!
(I seem to have "popped" in California. See picture below)
December 18, Friday
After waking up and packing all of our things David and I went with Angela and one of her dogs Harley went to the beach near their house and met Justin (he ran there). We went for a nice little walk around the beach and looked at the amazing beach houses that I could only just one day dream about owning. Afterwards we went to lunch with them, and then said our goodbye. Thank you so much Justin and Angela for letting us stay with you guys, it was great being able to visit and hang out with you guys!!! After lunch we headed over to Grandma Skaggs house were we stayed the next 2 days. We had the famous Skaggs Tacos, and we able to visit with lots of Davids Uncle Jim and cousin Mark and his family. We were also able to visit with his Uncle and Aunt Dave and Hadee (yes, that is really their names, so close to ours!!) and some of there family that came with them! After visiting Dave and I decided to head over to Disneyland to watch fireworks. Sadly they closed Disneyland to anyone that hadn't been there during the day because it was so crowded, so we headed back to his Grandmas house and got ready for bed.

December 19, Saturday

We woke up to a wonderful breakfast again, and more family! David's cousin flew in from Washington for the holidays and they stopped at Grandma Skaggs house. So after visiting with them and getting ready for the day we headed off to Disneyland again. It was so crowded, but still just fun to be in the atmosphere. We watched some more shows that we (or at least I) hadn't seen before and rode the ferris wheel. They are getting ready for a new show that comes out in March that will be on the water that David can't wait for! So he was excited and took lots of video over looking the water. When we went to California in August for Davids birthday we got a gift card to Disneyland that was worth the price of admission, so we decided to use it this trip. We found some really cute shirts for our baby that we fairly cheap and also purchased some candy for family and well as some other little keepsakes. After that we decided not to watch the fireworks, it was pretty cold and very crowded. Although before we left David wanted to go back to California Adventure and see if they were testing for the new water show and he was very excited because they were, so he got lots of picture of that, and lots of video!!

December 20, Sunday

We were able to go to church with David's Grandma and listen to her play the chimes, as well as listen to his Uncle Jim and Aunt Marlaine speak in church. Afterwards we went back to Jim & Marlane's and visited with their family for a bit and then headed back over to Grandma Skaggs house for lunch and our afternoon nap. After that we packed up our stuff and headed over to Corona. Thank you to Grandma Skaggs for letting us spend a few nights with you!! It is always great to be able to visit with you, and thank you for all of the meals you prepared! In Corona we went to the Skaggs Christmas party that was held at the Chacons (David's Uncle and Aunts) house. It was fun to be able to see everyone that was there especially because we don't get to see a lot of them that often. The food was delicious and the program was amazing. Each one of the brothers, and sister got up and talked about what there family was up to, and different things that their kids have accomplished for that year. Rich and Nancy were unable to make it so David got to get up and give the update for his family. Also some of the younger kids sang songs, played the piano/guitar, recited poems and showed off some karate moves. One of the best parts was a slideshow that Aunt Debbie had put together about Grandpa Skaggs, along with some music. After some more visiting and snacking on food everyone started to leave and David and I headed over to see his good friend Robbie and his wife Cortney and there little girl Natalie. It was fun to be able to catch up with them and plan a vacation for somewhere in the future to go visit them in Hawaii (Robbie is going to BYUI). Afterwards we headed back to the Chacons house were stayed the night.

December 21, Monday
Monday morning was very relaxed. We went out to lunch and did some last minute Christmas shopping. We had planned to hang out with Robbie and Cortney again, but as David was checking the weather for the drive home the following day we decided that because a storm was going to go threw Utah it would be smart to start the drive instead of waiting for tomorrow. So we packed up our stuff and headed out. We stopped and spend the night in Mesquite and then headed out the next day! Thank you very much to Charlie and Diane for letting us spend the night at your house and for holding the Christmas Party at your house! Also thanks to Brooke for letting us sleep in her bed!!!

Okay, on to Christmas!!!!

December 24, Thursday
David and I both had to work on Christmas Eve, so we were unable to attend the Whiting side Christmas Eve party as well as most of the Skaggs Christmas Eve party. But luckily the Skaggs stayed up so we could take some pictures! After we got off work, David and I drove up to the Skaggs and opened the 1 traditional present. . PAJAMAS!!! They were SO cute this year, I love them!!!! We also took several pictures of everyone together before heading to bed! David and I didn't take any pictures but we did use our video camera! So the pictures below are thanks to Nancy!!!!

December 25, Friday
Christmas Morning we woke up at 8am and as a tradition Rich read from Luke about the birth of Christ before we opened presents!! Christmas this year for us was really fun!! We got lots of baby things including a stroller and car seat (Thanks Rich and Nancy!!!!). It makes me even more excited for this little one to come!!! Then at 9 am we headed over to my parents house and were able to talk to Elder Smith!! It was so good to be able to hear his voice and be able to talk to him again!! He sounds so good, so grown up/mature, and is loving his mission!!! After we got off the phone with Kyle, we exchanged presents with my parents and Shelby and Tom! We also go to play with our cute niece Lia, who is starting to smiling when you talk to her!! After that we headed back over to the Skaggs house (good thing they live so close) where we had a very yummy Christmas dinner and got to visit with Kregg and Kami and there kids. Like Thanksgiving we were kind of rushed because David had to head back to Provo to go to work. So after eating quickly David and I drove down to my Grandparents house and visited with my extended family for a bit before David had to leave. I then stayed with my parents and was able to visit longer! After leaving my Grandparents house my parents and I went to visit my Grandma Pat for awhile and then spent the rest of the day relaxing in front of a fire! I love being able to spend the holidays with family, and am very anxious for the day that David and I wont have to work holidays, or at least be able to live closer to our family so the holidays are as rushed as they have been. David and I did AWFUL at taking picture on Christmas Day, so thank you Nancy for the pictures that I stole and Ill get the other ones from my mom!! Next year I am sure that we will do better at taking pictures!

Thanksgiving & 20 Week Update

Thanksgiving for David and I, was way too rushed!! Wednesday night after I got off of work David picked me and we drove to Fruit Heights. We slept over at my parents house and then the next morning David went "trapping" (clay pigeon shooting) with my Dad, brother in law Tom, my Uncle Bry and Tom's dad! They said they had alot of fun, and the weather was fairly warm for them! Once they got home and cleaned up, David and I headed over to his parents house for our Thanksgiving feast. After snacking on veggies, crakers and dip, we started eating around 1:30, the food was delicious and our turkey was amazing! After we sang Happy Birthday to my father in law Rich, and watched him open some gifts! After David and I went to my Aunt's church where my family was gathered, and visited for about 20 minutes before we had to head back to Provo for work. It was alot of fun to visit and see family that we haven't seen awhile. Hopefully next year we wont have to work, and will be able to visit longer!!!
This week I am 20 weeks along! Half way!! This is what babycenter.com says about my little girl this week!! "Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. She's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel (the length of a banana). (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against her torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of her head to her bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, she's measured from head to toe.) She's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for her digestive system. She's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion"
It also says that the average weight gain by now should be about 10 lbs, but I have probably only gained about 3 or 4, but am eating like a horse! Some days I look more pregnant then others, and extended family members have made comments about how they aren't quite sure if there really is a baby in there or not. But there is, and she moves a TON! I love being able to feel her, and they are starting to feel more like kicks and punches then "popcorn popping" or "gas bubbles". David has been able to feel her move but it feels like every time I tell him, "She's moving alot come feel" she becomes shy, and waits for a few minutes until she will start moving again! *****Baby Bump, or lack of picture coming soon!!*****

Mouse Continued

So to continue from the story! David set the mouse trap and left for work! About 5 minutes before I left the mouse decided to make an appearance again! The mouse went over to the sticky trap, looked around and then booked it IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!! So I packed up my stuff for work and left 5 minutes early! When we got off work, I called David just as he was walking into the house and there was still NO mouse! So before going to bed, David put peanut butter on the mouse trap and the sides and off to bed! Then 4 am Chloe starts barking and when she wasn't barking sure enough I could hear that mouse squeaking/squealing! So I woke up Dave and told me I think we caught it! So he went downstairs and took it out, when he came back he told me that there were 2 mice of the trap! The bigger one that we kept seeing was in the middle of the sticky pad and another smaller one was just stuck by the tail! I was so excited that we caught them that I couldn't get back to sleep for what felt like forever. So when my alarm went off I carried on with my routine, when I went to the bathroom (the half bathroom that is in the middle of the family room and kitchen), I opened the door and sure enough there was ANOTHER MOUSE! Seriously?! Why on Earth did they choose my house?! So I slammed the door and grabbed a towel and tried to jam it under the door. Then Dave came down and slid another sticky mouse trap under the door, and shoved the towel in between the door and floor. I was paranoid all day at work knowing that David had to work until 11pm, and I was off at 4. But thankfully David's friend Nate was willing to come over and check the mouse trap for me that was EMPTY (really why me?!) and then I kept his hyper active dog to keep the mouse away from me for a few hours. So when David gets home tonight, we will once again set the trap with peanut butter and pray that we will catch the rest!! Keep us in your prayers because I don't know if I can last much longer!

Mouse

When I say mouse, I wish I could say that it was this mouse:

Sadly I can't! So here is the story!!
In N Out opened yesterday so after work David and I along with a couple friends went to In N Out. After I came home to go to bed and David went to a friends for a little bit. He got home and let me know that he saw a MOUSE IN OUR HOUSE. Once again NOT the friendly mouse pictured above. One of these:(I made the mouse small, cause I dont like looking at it, and it's gross. But believe me, the mouse is bigger then that in person!!!!)

Gross I know, and its IN MY HOUSE!!! So I was paranoid all night thinking the mouse would get into my bed and I had dreams about it all night. So this morning when I woke up I called my sister and made lots of noise so the mouse would know I was coming and to stay away!! All was well. David woke up and was going to get into the shower when I started to scream MOUSE. I was sitting on the couch on the computer minding my own business when the mouse darted out from the entertainment center under the coat rack and stopped behind some luggage we have. David ran downstairs and I think it scared the mouse because it ran back behind the entertainment center. David decided to "block" the mouse behind the entertainment center so he could shower and go to the store without a scared wife. He blocked it with books, his Harry Potter books. I in return said "Mmmm can't mice jump and climb and stuff?" He then assured me that the dust jacket was slippery and the mouse wouldn't be able to get trackion (?) from the book and so it would be trapped. So off we went to the store, and I was talking to my mom when all of a sudden, out darts my unwanted friend again from the entertainment center, under the coat rack and behind the luggage, this time it didn't stop. It darted into the kitchen, and Chloe (our 4 lb Chihuahua/Weenier dog mix) saw and ran after it! So I called and politely told my husband his plan didnt work and the mouse was now in the kitchen!!
So now David is home and is setting the stick mouse traps behind the entertainement center. And he has to leave for work in an hour, and I leave in 2 hours. I hope it stays in the kitchen until I leave. Stay tuned!!!

It's A.......

So, we arrived at 5 o'clock and Gina shortly came out and took us in! She tried for about 25 minutes, and the baby was NOT being cooperative at all, would not uncross those legs! Gina's boss came in and played around too and said that our baby was in a knot!! So they had me go walk around for about 30 minutes, and then she tried again and we were successful!!! Enjoy the pictures!!

***Also I have been updating my little brothers mission blog with his weekly e-mails, not sure why blogspot isn't updating saying that there is a new post!***

Lia Makena

I really wanted my sister to post first, but it doesn't seem like she's going to be able to get around to it anytime soon, so I just thought, I would do a quick little post on my favorite niece ever!!! Lia MaKena was born November 2, 2009 at 6:30am (Shelby was born November 2, 1986 at 6:17am, they tried to get the same time, but Lia wasn't quite ready!). Shelby was only in labor for 10 hours, and she pushed for about 1 hour. Amazing for first timers we have heard. Lia was 7lbs, 3oz and was 20 inches long. Lia is adorable and they couldn't ask for a better baby! It makes me SO excited to have a little baby of my own!

Lia 5 days old
Speaking of which, I am 16 weeks along this, week. Our little one is the size of an avocado, and we get to find out what we are having Tuesday at 5pm, so stay tuned for that! I am feeling good, still have gag reflexes that kick in at random times, but I'm no longer feeling as sick in the morning. I still am not showing, but I can tell that I am getting "thicker" around my stomach, and no longer have a waist. And I think I found some stretch marks this morning, hopefully it was just my eyes, but I'm doubtful!!!

Swine Flu

So I was very nervous and unsure what to do about getting this flu shot, and have been thinking about it for months. When I went to work last Thursday I was told my boss that several of the patients had the Swine Flu and I needed to call and let my doctor know that I was exposed to Swine Flu. I was quickly given TamiFlu and told to take it as soon as I could. After taking the TamiFlu for 3 days, and throwing up several times a day and having a killer headache I called the doctor and was taken off of the antibiotic. I decided then that I should get the shot if I could get my hands on one. I called my doctors office everyday and asked if they had it, no luck! Then my good friend Dusty called me and told me that the Provo Health Clinic had the shots and she was going to go at 7:30am! I met her and her little boy at her house and we arrived around 7:45am, and left a little before 12:00pm. We were 1 of the lucky 4,000 that waited in line for several hours and got the shot!! The only bad thing is now, is I seemed to have picked up a runny nose from waiting in the cold for so long! Thank you Dusty for letting me know about this and letting me join you and Parker, and for not getting into a fight with the lady that ran you over!!

13 Weeks

Yesterday Dave and I had our 13 week appointment. From the last appointment I have lost 1 pound, and my blood pressure was good. Afterwards the doctor came in and talked to us for a little bit, gave me some hope that I am close to hopefully having no more nausea! He then pulled out the machine that lets us hear the heartbeat. At first he found my heartbeat, slow and steady and then he found the baby's heartbeat! Its crazy how fast it was going and so cool to hear. Sometimes I feel like its not really true, I have no baby bump yet, and what not so to be able to hear the heartbeat was cool! Reminded me that yes, in only a matter of time we will have a sweet little baby to hold and take care of! But the doctor says that the heartbeat sounds good, and that in 8 weeks we will have an ultrasound and they will tell us what we are having. But my friend Gina who did the ultrasound before said she will look and see if she knows what it is when we are 17 weeks. . .that's in 4 week!! I cant wait! And accourding to babycenter.com, "Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a meduim shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce. "

On Monday David, Kayla and I went to RcWilley to just look at cribs. It was Columbus Day and they had some way cute cribs that were on sale, so we got one! We haven't had them deliver it to our house yet, because we don't need it for awhile, so they are holding it for us!!! The picture below is not the exact one, but it is very very close. I got it off of RcWilley.com So things are going good in the Skaggs house!

Las Vegas

This last week David and I were able to take a quick vacation to Las Vegas. About 2 years ago we went to Reno and did one of those time share things and got a free vacation to Orlando. We never used it and a few months ago we got a call saying if we went to another presentation that we would get a 3 day 2 night stay in Vegas, $100 Visa Gift Card and a $40 gift card to the Planet Hollywood restaurant. So we decided to do it. We took my parents with us, and the 1 hour presentation was well worth the trip. My parents have never really been to Las Vegas, just driven through and stopped for an hour or two.

Monday, October 5, 2009
My parents arrived at our house around 7am and we began our drive to Las Vegas. We drove David's car and my mom will probably kill me but, we were all very impressed with her because she was able to pack all of her stuff needed for 3 days in 1 BAG!! This is huge for my mom who is an over-packer. Good job Mom!!! We got to Vegas and first off went to In-N-Out. My parents had never eaten there before. Afterwards we went and checked in at our hotel. We stayed at the Tropicana! Room number 373! It's not the nicest hotel ever but it worked well for free. After relaxing for a bit Dave and I had to go to our presentation at the Jockey Club. It only took an hour so we were glad for that. While we did that my parents went to the Mile High Mall. After we met up with my parents, we headed towards the hotel. We stopped at the MGM Grand and looked at the Lions and baby lions they have. Once we got back to the hotel took a nap and then went to dinner at Planet Hollywood. It was a fun atmosphere and we had fun guessing all of the actors/actresses that were around us! Afterwards, we walked around Caeser's Palace and the ritzy mall for a bit and then we watched the Fountains at the Bellagio. After we walked back to our hotel, and sat in the hot tub that wasn't really hot!!

Tuesday, October 6, 2009
Tuesday we all slept in a bit and then got ready and went to breakfast and Denny's! And then we went to the Coca-Cola store and then the M&M store and then we went to a Casino a little off the strip so we had to drive, they have a free aquarium with tons of fish, rays and sharks (little ones). We got there right in time to see a scuba diver feeding the rays and then the sharks. It was fun to watch and makes me want to go to the Living Aquarium in Sandy. After that David and my dad dropped my mom and I off at the hotel and they went golfing. My mom and I walked to the strip and went to a little food court they have and ate some lunch. Afterwards we went back to the hotel and layed out at the pool for a bit and then took a nap. Once we knew when the boys were going to be back we looked up on the internet for a good buffet on the strip. The Flamingo looked the best to us, so once the boys got back we drove to the Flamingo and waited in line FOREVER. The buffet wasn't the best and I'm sure that the view would have been better if it would have been light outside. From what we could kind of see, they had Flamingos, and waterfalls. Afterwards we drove to Freemont street and watched the "Freemont Street Experience". They have a tent like thing over this street (you cant drive on it), with thousands and thousands and thousands of tiny lights and they do a 6 mintue tribute to Queen. They say its the Biggest Big Screen in the World! It was quiet the experience, between the lights and all the crazy drunk people screaming to the Queen songs. After we went back to the hotel where my mom and I got ready for bed and David and my dad went down to the casinos to watch the gamblers lose all their money.
Wednesday, October 7, 2009
We left Vegas around 10:30am and started our journey home. We made a traditional (for Dave and I) stop in Beaver at the cheese factory and then got home around 5ish.

It was a very fun trip and I am so glad that I got to spend time with 2 out of my 3 favorite boys, and my mom! I am SO glad that they wanted to go and were able to get off work, I love you guys! Also thank you to my wonderful husband who never stops amazing me with his sense of direction and willingness to be the driver! I love you!!

Baby Skaggs!

So one of my friends that I work with at Provo Canyon School is going to school to be an Ultrasound Tech. Because she is still a student she is able to do ultrasounds for free for her friends and family! So today Dave and I went in to take a look at our little baby!!! Thank you SO much Gina!!! Enjoy!!!

And a little info on our little baby. According to my doctors I am due April 22, 2010! So I am 10 weeks and 5 days! The baby was measuring to about 11 weeks and 3 days! According to babycenter.com our baby is the size of a kumquat.
And has completed the most critical portion of its development. When we were getting the ultrasound the baby was moving around so much, it was so cool to see and it made everything seem more real!!!!
Also here is a picture of my non existent baby bump!

After taking a few pictures at the house, we left around 10:00am and our first stop was in Logan! We stopped to see the Logan temple and took tons of fun pictures on the temple grounds!David and I

Nancy, Shelby, Diane, Shannon, Cozy, Kayla, Lauren, Haylee
After taking several pictures in Logan we headed to Bear Lake for lunch and the famous Raspberry Shakes!!!Cozy, Josh, Shelby, Haylee, Kayla, Matt, Lauren
Haylee, Kayla, Matt, Lauren
Cozy, Josh, Shelby
After eating lunch we headed off to Star Valley!! We were hoping to be able to take a tour threw the cheese factory they have there, but it closed in 1995!! Apparently the factory is too dangerous to have people walking threw!!
Our next stop was the Bar J Wrangler Ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming! We arrived about 5 and had to wait in line till about 6 when we got our tickets! David and I
After eating the fresh biscuits and honey we went and found our table and played Spoons with coffee creamer packets until it was time to eat!! David got the steak, and I got the BBQ Beef, it was a good Chuck Wagon dinner!! Matt and David
After everyone was done eating and cleared their tables, the show started!!! I have only been once before but it entertainment was exactly what I remembered it to be!One of the Bar J WranglersThe Bar J Wranglers
After the show was over, Diane and Shannon headed to Rexburg (Shannon is going to BYUI) while the rest of us headed home! We arrived at home around 2:15am and it was so good to be able to lay down and sleep!! It was a fun long day!!! Thanks Rich and Nancy for planning this fun day!!!

April 26, 2010

For those of you who haven't heard yet, David and I are expecting our first baby April 26, 2010!! I wasn't scheduled to have an ultrasound until September 15, 2009, but do to some side aches that lasted for a day and a half, we were able to see our baby's heart beat! They also did some blood tests to see if I had an infection in my appendix. I got the test results back today, and there is no infection, and I'm having a very healthy pregnancy so far!! We are very excited, and as soon as we can fix our scanner, I will post the picture of our baby!!!!

California Vacation

***So of the pictures are too big, so when I get a chance, I will be fixing them!***
Wow, it has been awhile since I have blogged, so I am going to try to catch up with all that has been going on!!!
Like I posted in previous posts, Dave and I repainted our house and got new carpet!! We decided to keep the red wall, and I'm glad that I did! David, Matt and Nate came home and helped tear up the old carpet and padding! It was a lot quicker then I expected it to be!!The following day our carpet was delivered and installed. We weren't all the way done with painting but we were able to finish it all but the staircase! It is a 2 story staircase, so we need a ladder to get the tops!!
August 8, Saturday
We were able to see a good friend get married in the temple for time and all eternity! Bailey (Matt's sister) married Brock in the Mount Timpanogos temple!! She was a gorgeous bride and the whole day turned out wonderful! It was fun to be able to spend the day with the family at the temple, the reception and the wedding dinner!!August 11 -18th California!!
August 11, Tuesday
Dave, Kayla and I left for California at 10:30pm! Dave drove the ENTIRE way! That is one of the many things I love about my husband! He loves to drive, and always gets us to our destinations on time, and he has a GREAT since of direction!! On the way we decided to stopped at the State Line (Nevada/California) to try to sleep in the car. We were there for about an hour, and couldn't get comfortable when we decided to keep on driving! We drove to Garden Grove were we arrived about 7:30am (California time) on Wednesday August 12.
August 12, Wednesday
After taking a much needed nap we headed out to a 12:30pm Angels game!! The Angels played the Rays. At the game we met up with some of there good friends, Katie, Tamie and her daughter Maddison! It was a good game to be at and we had some awesome seats! The Angles won, 10 to 5!! After the game we went back to Grandma Skaggs house and had the famous Skaggs Tacos for dinner!! Rich (my father in law) drove down from Burbank, and his brother Jim and wife Marlaine and there son Jon also joined us for dinner!!!
August 13, Thursday
David, Kayla and I drove to Burbank to visit Rich at Aramark. After meeting several of his co-workers and seeing his office we went to lunch! We walked to a little Sushi restaurant where none of us but Rich got sushi. I got teriyaki chicken with rice, and the most amazing salad I have ever eaten in my life (okay not really, but it was really really good). Thank you Rich for lunch, and letting us come hang out with you for a bit in Burbank!August 14, Friday
Rich, Nancy and Lauren left Utah and drove to California so we went to Corona to meet up with them. Before that we went to lunch at Subs Galore and then Kayla and I got pedicures at Circle City Nails. It is the best place ever to get your nails done because they always turn out cute, and they are so cheap!!! Afterward we went to the Chacons and visited with them until Rich, Nancy and Lauren arrived. After visiting for a little bit we went to a little Mexican restaurant and had some dinner and then just hung out at the Chacons. It was a nice relaxing day!August 15, Saturday
Saturday was a really long but fun day! We drove to Newport Beach where the Chacons have a beach house. Their beach house is only about 2 miles away from the beach, so they have 4 beach cruisers (for those of you that don't know they are bikes). So I drove with Kayla, Lauren and Harrison with the chairs and coolers. Harrison and I dropped the girls off with the chairs and coolers and then Harrison and I went to find a parking place. While we were dropping the girls off this man came over and asked us if we needed a parking place and told us that right down the street we were on there was one. So I jumped in the car and Harrison booked it to the parking place. As I am getting ready to pull into the spot, I got cut off by some guy and he took the place Harrison started waving his arms and trying to tell him we were going to park there, but the man payed no attention to Harrison!! Harrison and I drove around for about a half an hour looking and I decided that everyone that lives in California was at that beach Saturday because there were NO parking places. So we drove by where Kayla and Lauren were and saw that the others had arrived on the bikes. So Dave got in the car and we drove around for about another hour until we finally found a parking place!!! Once we got to where everyone else was we were able to enjoy the beach and just relax. Dave and Kayla walked out to the end of the rocks (they have a name but I forgot it) and took tons of pictures!! After being at the beach for about 2 1/2 hours we started for Corona. We stopped and ate at El Torito, a yummy mexican restaurant. At the restaurant Nancy told the waiter that we were celebrating Davids birthday, so after we were done eating, they came and sang to him and brought him dessert which was Flan. It was funny because while they were singing the waiter used the spoon and got some of the whip cream from the flan and acted like he was going to feed it to Dave and then got it all over his nose instead!
August 16, Sunday
Sunday was David's birthday!! He turned 26 years old!! Sunday we went to church with the Chacons! Sacrament meeting was probably the best one I have been to in awhile! They had converts speak on how they came to know of the church and join it!! It was amazing! They also had all the converts in the congregation stand, and then 2nd generation converts stand, and then 3rd. It was amazing to see how 2 missionaries can make such a difference in 1 persons life!! It made me really excited to think about my husband planting seeds in Russia, and also the work that my little brother is doing in California. After sacrament we went back to the house and started dinner! We had chicken parmesan, rolls, caesar salad, corn, and more. Afterwards Diane made a birthday cake for David and we all sang Happy Birthday! Then later on Nancy, David and I drove to Garden Grove where we met Rich at his moms and had more cake, and visited for awhile!
August 17, Monday
DISNEYLAND!!! We woke up bright and early, had some amazing cinnamon rolls made by Grandma Skaggs and off we went to Disneyland!! We met up with Nancy's brother in law and some of her nephews and nieces!! It was a very crowd day but so much fun!! For dinner we met up with Angela and Justin who just recently got married in Hawaii!! It has been SO long since David and I have seen them, so it was good to get to visit with them for awhile!!!August 17, Tuesday
We began our drive home around 10 o'clock, and got home around 9pm! It was a long ride, and we were glad to finally get home!! Dave and I did a horrible job at taking picture on this trip, so I want to thank Kayla for letting me steal her pictures, and hopefully we will be able to get more from Nancy!!

Your Advice Needed

Okay, so you all know that Dave and I are in the middle of painting our house!! Today we went to Lowe's and purchased our new carpet, so now we are just waiting for the installers to call and set up an appointment!!! Here's where your help is needed!! We are almost done painting, but I cant decided if I want to keep our accent wall, or paint over it! So I took a picture of it and need your help to decided?! What do you think?! Keep it, or get rid of it?!

Walls and Carpet!!

David and I have been wanting to get new carpet for a number of reasons now for awhile!! So yesterday night we were bored and decided to go to Costco to just look around! In August David's sister is going to be coming down to live with us while she goes to school, and the room she will be staying in is yellow! So we decided to go to Lowe's to get some paint to repaint that room! While there we decided to look at carpet to see if we could afford it! And because we aren't planning on being here forever, we decided that the cheap stuff would work for us, so we calculated it all out, and we will be able to afford to recarpet the whole house!! So they will be calling soon to come out and measure!!! So we decided that we should repaint the whole house while we were at it!! So far we have the family room (just the brown color) done and part of the stairs!!! More pictures to come!!!Its a little darker then we expected, but we like it, and that's all that matters right?!

Lake Tahoe

***Warning: This is a very long post with lots of pictures!!***
David and I were able to take off work this last week to go to Lake Tahoe with Nancy (his mom), Kayla and Lauren (his sisters), Josh (his brother), Nate, Matt and Scott (David and Josh's friends) and this Rich (his dad) flew in for a few days!!! Last year we went to Reno, so we were excited to go back, and maybe make this an annual vacation!
July 8, 2009, Wednesday
We left for Lake Tahoe around 5:30am and began our 9 hour drive!!! David loves to drive and prefers to drive when going on vacations which is nice for everyone else!! The drive to Lake Tahoe is VERY long, and there isn't a whole lot to see!! Once we got past Carson City, and headed up the mountain to our resort I started feeling very car sick!! I was very glad to be out of the car and into the fresh mountain air! Once we got everything unpacked and put away some of us went into South Tahoe and walked around the city!
Haylee, David, Josh, Nate, Kayla and Matt
July 9, 2009, Thursday
Thursday morning we all decided to go to Sand Harbor. It is a big sandy beach! We took coolers, snacks, drinks etc. and laid out all day!! There are buoys that are a ways out that the boys like to swim too! However, the water was FREEZING, so I never made it fully in, but it was nice to relax and enjoy being on vacation! Towards the end there were lots of geese that came so close! Dave and Nate kept feeding the pretzels and lured them in closer and closer to see how close they would come, and the geese came close enough to take the pretzels out of there hands!!! David and Nate
July 10, 2009, Friday

On Friday we drove down to Reno to pick up Rich from the airport, and then we went to Wild Islands in Reno and met up with Nancy's sister-in-law Lynda who lives around that area! We celebrated her son Hudson's 6th birthday! Wild Islands in a water park in Reno!! We had a lot of fun taking the younger kids down the slides and to the lazy river! Hadley, Lynda, Hudson
Nancy and I
Rich, David, Logan and I going on the Toilet Bowl Water Slide
David laying out!
Landon, Hudson, Kayla and Hadley
After being there for awhile we left and went back up to our resort in Tahoe and everyone got showered and ready for dinner! We met Lynda at Chevy's where we had a birthday dinner for Hudson!Hadley, Kayla, Haylee
David and I
Matt, Haylee, David, Scott, Nate, Josh, Kayla
Afterwards the boys went and walked around the town, while the rest of us went to the resort and just talked! 3 of Lynda's boys (Landon, Logan, Hudson) stayed the night with us as well!
July 11, 2009, Saturday
The plan was for Saturday was to lay out at the pool and take things easy and just stay close to the resort! The weather wasn't very good, so laying out for us was crossed off the list! So Nancy, Kayla and I played Skip Bo and then later taught David how to play as well!! After eating lunch we decided to go on a hike with the Skaggs friends the Fairbanks who were up there as well! We hiked up a mountain side to a Lake that was hidden! First off we stopped at a look at point and took some pictures of the beautiful scenery. David and I
Kayla and ILandon, Hudson, Kayla, Logan, Nancy, Rich, Lauren, David and IEmerald Bay (I think)
After about a mile hike we got to the lake was gorgeous as well, but once again freezing water!! I only made it in to about my ankles.David and I
Once everyone was done swimming in the water we headed back down the mountain! It started getting cloudy, and then about half way down it started to rain so everyone had to hurry!Rich, Kayla, Nancy, Me, David, Matt
Kayla and I
Once back into town, we stopped at a grocery store and Rich bought Hudson a birthday cake because Saturday was his real birthday! For dinner we had a BBQ! The boys made some hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill! They tasted really good and were much needed after our long hike! After everyone was done eating dinner and we got dinner cleaned up we sang Happy Birthday to Hudson.Hudson 6 years old
July 12, 2009, Sunday
Sunday we drove down to Dayton and went to Sacrament meeting and then after we went to Lynda's house were she made us dinner! While dinner was cooking we played with the kids and Marley!David, Hadley and I
Marley and her tennis ball
They sure do have a lot of energy, and Hadley LOVED the boys!!! Once dinner was done cooking everyone got together to eat! I really wish someone would have taken a picture of the salad and chicken! Everything looked and tasted great! Thanks again Lynda for dinner! After everyone took their Sunday naps, we got ready and headed out to take some Family pictures! David, Matt, Kayla, Josh, NateLynda in the zone
Lynda is a great photographer and took us to some really fun locations to take pictures, and was extremely patient with the crazy boys!!! The following pictures are from Nancy's camera! They were taken while others were getting there pictures taken!
David and IKayla and I
When we got back to Lynda's we packed up all of our stuff that we had there and headed back to the resort! Josh, Nate and Matt drove Rich to Reno where he stayed in a hotel and then flew out to California the next day to go back to work!! And also 2 of Lynda's boys (Landon and Hayden) came with us. We got back to the resort pretty late, so everyone headed to bed! For pictures that Lynda took, go to http://bluelakephotography.typepad.com/
July 13, 2009, Monday
Oh dear! This day was a lot of fun!! We took SO many pictures I don't know how I'm going to choose which ones to post!! Monday, David, Josh, Kayla, Nate, Matt and I left around 930, and drove to San Francisco!! We also made 2 pit stops, 1 at the Sacramento Temple!! David and I
If you haven't been to this temple and are ever in the area, I encourage you to do so!! The Temple is gorgeous (surprise uh), and the grounds around the Temple, is like a mini Central Park!! Lots of trees, grass and benches!! Our next stop was the Oakland Temple!! This one has been added to my list of all time favorite Temples!! David and I
The grounds. . . .I cant even describe how beautiful it was! I was kind of sad though, because it was a Monday and the grounds men were working on the grounds, the water was turned off, but it was still amazing!!! Then our next stop was San Fransisco! After driving around for a little bit looking for a parking place and not finding any under $20 (okay really like $10), we drove down a street that turned into dead end, and there was a parking spot waiting for us for Free we were excited!! However there was a time limit to parking there, so sadly that but a time limit on our sight seeing. So after walking around we found an Information Booth that gave us a map and the lady circled a few "Must See" spots!! So our first spot was the Crookest Road. We had to walk up a steep steep hill, and after 2 days, my calves are still killing! It was worth it though!!! Yeah, we walked that!Kayla and I (this is after walking down the Crookest Road)
Next off we walked to Pier 39, were we watched Sea Lions for a bit!! Man they stink, but it was fun to watch them get onto the docks, and make noise! Next off was the Fisherman's Warf! When walking there we found a good place to take pictures of Alcatraz. I really wanted to do the tour, but it was out of our price range that day, and we didn't have enough time. David and I
After that we searched for a place to eat in the Fisherman's Warf! Walking threw the Fisherman's Warf was almost torture, it smelt so bad!! There are so many different people that stand outside there restaurants that try to get you to go eat there food, so it was hard to find somewhere! Only Nate and Matt like Seafood, so once we found a cheap place they were able to get there seafood! Nate and Matt
Dave and I got spaghetti off of the kids menu! It was pretty good!! After I was done eating Kayla and I left the boys and started walking back to the car, because our time was up, and we wanted to stop and get a sweatshirt! We ended up getting the same one different colors, and also got t-shirts for Nancy, Lauren and us, also same shirt, different colors! Once we got to the car, we drove to China Town! I would have loved to get out and walked around, but we still had to see the Golden Gate Bridge, so we just drove threw. We saw so many houses that were gorgeous, I couldn't believe how small but elegant and upscale they looked!!! We drove threw a military base and turned a corner and saw the Golden Gate Bridge!
David and I
We got out and took a few pictures and then drove threw the Golden Gate Bridge. Then after we went to 2 different Look Out Points to take pictures!!!David and IJosh, Nate, Matt, Haylee, Dave
Funny story with this picture!! Matt was pretending to fall backwards, because what Kayla (taking the picture) didn't know was that it was flat behind the rock wall!! Needless to say we all (including other people that were also taking pictures) were laughing after Kayla realized Matt's fall wasn't very far!!
July 15, s2009 Tuesday
Tuesday everyone slept in because of the long day on Monday! Once everyone woke up we ate breakfast did some laundry and packed up to leave for home!! We then around 2 went to Reno and met Lynda and the rest of her kids at the Truckee river! We went there last year and had a blast!! The water wasn't that bad and I DID get it, however it didn't last every long!! Last year I actually "body surfed" down the river, and got all cut up, so I didn't do that this year. David, Josh, Nate and Matt did and they said that river was lower, so it wasn't as fun! After 2 hours we packed up and left, everyone was tired, and also because the cars were parked at 2 hour meters! So then we began our long journey home and made it home safely around 2am. I don't have the pictures yet from the Truckee river, but will get them soon!!!
I just want to thank my mother in law Nancy for letting us come, making this vacation enjoyable, and for the use of her camera!! So THANK YOU NANCY!! We had such a great time and enjoy being with the family and love being able to get to know each other better!! Also THANK YOU KAYLA for taking the majority of the pictures, and being my buddy the whole trip!! I cant wait for you to move in so we can have more good times (Snap snap ha ha)!! Also I want to THANK DAVID for having an amazing sense of direction and getting us to our detestation safely and for just being amazing! I love you honey!!! Also THANK YOU LYNDA for taking our pictures and letting us crash at your house on Sunday, you are such an inspiration to me, I hope to be an amazing photographer, and mother as you some day!!! Also THANK YOU MOM AND DAD for watching Chloe for us everytime we go on vacation! You guys are the best!!! And THANK YOU lastely (is that a word) for making it threw this LONG post, I wasnt kidding when I gave the warning at the beginning!!!

My Garden!

My tomato plant is doing great!!! It has about 5 growing tomatoes on it and they are getting so big!! I cant wait to eat them!!! And still many more blossoms!!! As for the rest of my salsa garden. . .my onions seem to be doing well, however, I am not really sure as to when I am supposed to pick them!!! Or how to know if they are doing well!! They are getting bigger, and thicker, so Im assuming they are doing good! And my cilentro WAS doing AMAZING until it started to disappear!! One day I got home from work, and noticed that about half of it was missing, so I was thinking it was those darn bugs again!! So I sprayed them with the bug killer stuff!! Then next day I came home and my neighbors cat was outside and the rest of my cilentro was gone!! So I am kinda thinking that the cat ate it, but not sure!!! So this is what is left of my cilentro!! If it grows back, I think I will have to get some kind of fence just incase it was the cat!!
And as for my peppers. . .they are growing, but they are still pretty small, so Im thinking that Iwill have to get most of my veggies from my parents and inlaws for my salsa garden!! Oh well, I tried right?!

My Garden

One thing that I love, and this may be super weird, but I love touching my tomato plant, just to be able to smell the scent it leaves on my hands afterwards! I love the smell of tomatoes!! I cant wait to be able to eat them!! The other day when I was watering my veggies I noticed that I have some tomatoes growing!!! You cant really see them, but I have 4 growing, and also more flowers! Then when I went to water my peppers I noticed this:Can you see what it is?! If you look closely at the leaves, they are being eaten!! When I looked closer at the dirt there were SO many rollie pollies that I couldnt even count them!! This didn't make me very happy, so I made a trip to Home Depot and bought some of this!! It is insect killer that doesn't harm or ruin your veggies or flowers! So I came home and sprayed my plants and then in the morning I took a closer look at my peppers, and all the little rollie pollies that were in there, were all curled up in balls! Don't mess with my garden rollie pollies!!! Here are pictures of my Onions and Cilentro! Next time I know to take more time when planting and make sure things are evenly spaced out!! When I was planting the Cilentro, I was rushed and dug rows, and then just sprinkled the seeds in! I thought then they were spaced out, but looking at them now, I know they weren't! Oh well, you live and learn right?! Or I guess you could say, you plant and learn!!
Also when we were at Home Depot we went to look at Interior Doors! The doors in our townhome are old, banged up and falling apart! Right now they have All Size Doors for $44!! So we are going to measure or doors and get new ones!! I cant wait!

Monday - Wednesday

So my moms side of the family can be very competitive! Especially when it comes to whose better then who. . .nephews or uncles!! The past couple of big holidays (Thanksgiving & Christmas Eve) we have been able to have our parties at a school that has a gym with a volleyball court! The guys always play Old Guys vs. Young Guys, Uncles vs. Nephews! Its very fun to watch and see how into it the boys get! Well because Kyle is leaving they decided to get together and play one last time with him! I made all the guys get together for a picture, they complained and said "Lets take it after", thankfully I didn't because half way threw the 2nd game it started POURING rain!! So Brittany, BreAnne, Cortnie, Trey and I were all huddled in blankets and jackets! Cortnie was smart and left early before the rain really started to pour!! Thanks for everyone that came, for those that didn't hopefully you'll be able to make it next time!!!
Tuesday was pretty relaxed as we just ran errands and Kyle picked up some last minutes items! Then around 6pm, some family, friends, the Bishop and Stake President came over to my parent's house to set Kyle apart as a missionary! It was a very special spiritual experience! Afterward a group of use went to Layton to Pace's Dairy Ann for some ice cream and then headed back to the house to help Kyle finish packing!
Wednesday morning went by way to fast! We left Fruit Heights at 10am. David had left Tuesday night because he had school Wednesday morning! David met us at Iggy's in Orem for lunch! None of us were really hungry, so we had lots of leftovers! After eating we still had about an hour to kill, so we drove to our place for about 30 mintues and headed to the MTC! Now because of the Swine Flu we were unable to go inside the MTC so we had to park in a parking lot to say our good-byes and got a few more pictures! Then we all piled in 1 car and drove to the MTC where MANY missionaries greeted us to help take Kyle's luggage, and direct him to where he needed to go! So we got 1 more picture and then sent of our little missionary!! I am SO thankful for my little brother and the example that he has been to me in this last year or so! I am so proud of him, and I know that he will be a great missionary and will be able to covert many!!! I love you Elder Smith!!

Saturday & Sunday

Our weekend has been very fun! First off on Saturday morning was the CF Walk in Ogden! Before the walk I took my cousin Trey to see the R.E.A.L Mascot and to get some breakfast! I did awful at taking pictures of the walk, and this is the only picture I got! Following the walk my mom and I went and ran some errands and went to lunch! Then when we got home, Dave and I went to Costco for my mom to pick up food for the Farewell! Afterwards Dave, Kyle and my Dad were busy getting tables and chairs from my aunts, while my mom and I prepared the food and then we went and got take out for dinner!! We also got to watch my cousins family on the Primary Childrens Telathon! It was SO fun to see them on TV, and to be reminded of there sweet story!!
Sunday morning the boys set up the tables and chairs and while my mom and I finished up with the food!! Kyles talk was really good! For those of you that were there, go to his blog and you can read a little bit about what he talked on! There were SO many people there!! Afterward everyone came over to my parents house! Once again, I did AWFUL at taking pictures! I just got too carried away visiting with high school friends, and family!! Once I realized that I hadn't taken any pictures, the majority of people were gone (look at Kyle's blog for the picutres of him and others)! Kyle got a call from the MTC and told him that his family wouldn't be able to enter the MTC to say our good-byes because of the Swine Flu, so we will be saying the good-byes at the curb!

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day, my family and a bunch of my cousins drove up to Lava Hot Springs in Idaho!! We had heard that it was going to be rainy, but we were hopeful for good weather! The weather was nice and promising on the drive up but once we got there, and got the cars unloaded, and got into the park it started to rain and didn't really lighten up for very long! And because of the rain I didn't get many pictures because I didn't want to get the camera ruined! (Kyle and Adam, notice the clouds)
So after some debating, a few of us decided to pay extra money and go to the Hot Pots! And the rest of the family drove hom! Going to the Hot Pots was SO worth the extra money!!! The water was so hot and so relaxing! It was fun to just sit and visit with my family! My favorite part was the rocks on the bottom of the pots! It was like a foot massage, and made my feet so soft!!A little cave
The Hottest Hot PotThe Hot PotsAdam & Brittany Wall
Afterward we went to a little ice cream shop and got some ice cream! The cool thing was that their ice cream scoop was square!!! Then we drove 2 hours back home! While we were at the the Hot Pots, the rest of the family drove home!! So on our way home Kyle called and said that a bunch of the family was going to get together at Barnes Park and play Sand Volleyball!! So after getting home and changing out clothes, we headed down to the park!! I was excited because my favorite little cousin Trey was there!! Trey and one of his many faces!!!
After about 2 hours the game was over, and Dave and I headed to his parents house were Dave watched the Laker game and then we drove home!! Overall we had a really good day, and are very thankful to all of those that work so hard at serving for our country so we are able to enjoy days like today!!!

Jury Duty

So a few months ago I got a fun little letter in the mail telling me that I was lucky enough or you could say that I was just "summoned by the United States District Court for the District of Utah as an on-call juror". This is twice now in my "adult" years that I have had jury duty! The first time I wasn't on call and the person ended up doing a plea bargain so I didn't have to go! Anyways, so I am on call from the month of May to August of 2009! I almost forgot about this until I got another letter in the mail telling me that I am to appear Monday June 1, 2009 at 7:40 AM!!
The first paragraph is all nice and warming with words like greetings from the US District Court. . . .and the Court welcomes you. And then towards the bottom in bold letters, and underlined it tells me if I fail to appear that I the innocent person who didn't sign could be sent to prison for 3 days!! I was chosen because I am a registered voter, but I honestly dont ever remember regestering to vote, and have never voted! Wish me luck!

Family Fun! (Really Long Post)

This last Monday, all of my family got off work and spent the day together!! The day begun with the boys going to Davis Golf Course and playing the back 9! While they were golfing, my mom, sister and I went to Rod Works!! I love that place!! Dave and I have a pretty big entertainment center that I have wanted to decorate for awhile! So I took a picture of it and just took it to Rod Works, and showed one of the ladies working there and got a bunch of things together that I LOVED!! So I bought most of it!!! I am not quite done yet! I need to get some candlesticks and would like to get some more greenery!! Don't mind Koby, he will be coming down soon!So after we were done shopping we met up with the boys at Costa Azul for lunch! Then at around 2 pm we went to the Layton Park and got our pictures professional taken, it was about 90 degrees outside and hot, but it was fun! Here are just a few! The lady took about 300 pictures, and sent these ones to my mom! We will be receiving a disc of all of the pictures!
After we all went to 7 11 and got sluprees and went back to my parents house and rested!!! Dave and I went over to his parents and visited for a bit before going to the Pizza Factory for dinner! I didn't get a "good" one of my parents, but they were there too!
Tom and ShelbyDavid and Kyle (doesn't know how to smile for pictures)Dave and IKyle
After we ate we went over to a new bowling alley in Syracase called Spare Time! It was alot of bowling! I however did AWFUL!!! I didn't even break 40!!!! I lost!! Dave came in 2nd with 119 and my dad was the winner with 120!!KyleDavidHayleeMy DadTomMy Mom (didnt play)ShelbyShelby and I
After we got done bowling we went and played Glow in the Dark Mini Golf!! It was fun, but not really worth the price!! They also had a little arcade, and one of the games was called Dragon Punch!! You just punch the bag as hard as you can! It was fun to watch the boys!! Here's a video of David punching it! video
Afterwards, Tom and Shelby went home we everyone else went back to my home! I finally got my peppers for Dusty!! There were SO many, and I don't have a lot of room, so my mom and my mother in law are going to grow some for me and then I have 4 of them at my house!!! And just a little update on my tomato plant. . .I have about 4 blossoms on my plant!! Im so excited!!!!Thanks to everyone for the fun day!!!

My Growing Garden!

So, I really don't know why I get so excited about this! But today I got home from work and went to water my garden and I already have a blossom on my tomato plant! I got so excited that I called to tell my dad, but apparently my Aunts tomato plant has lots of blossoms! But I was still excited! Then I went to water my cilantro and onions, and I you can see the cilantro growing now! I didn't realize how close I planted the cilantro and onions, but oh well!! Also in a couple of days I will be getting the pepper plants from Dusty! I'm SO excited!!! I hope you enjoy my pictures as much as I do!!! The blossom of the tomato plant was blurry during the day, so I took one at night, and its a little better!! I cant wait to have a house with a big garden!!!

June Scent and Warmer

So, I know that I have been slacking on posting the Scents and Warmers of the month, but when I saw this one, I knew that I had to post about it!! I LOVE IT!!! Just in time for the 4th of July too!! So once, again, this will be 10% off in the month of June!!
Liberty"Create your own Fourth of July fireworks with Liberty, Scentsy’s newest warmer. A star-spangled tribute to American folk art, Liberty’s distressed tin star appliqués are surrounded by a field of star-shaped vent holes that shine when the base is lit, highlighting the dimensional metal accents.
Liberty’s hand-painted base features a dark denim blue top coat sponged over a lighter blue base coat."

Coconut Palm"A unique blend of tropical coconut and musky patchouli with subtle green bottom notes, Coconut Palm will take you back to the beach on a hot summer afternoon."

My Salsa Garden

So, last year my "garden" consistent of a Tomato plant, and I didn't get very many tomatoes from because my first pot had no hole in the bottom, so my first tomato plant got too much water to survive!! So after buying the proper pot, my next one grew, but I didn't get many tomatoes because of the later start! So a couple of weeks ago, I was talking with my friend Dusty and she was telling me that she is going to grow a Salsa Garden! I decided that I too wanted to grow one too! Dave and I go threw a lot of Salsa, and how much better is home grown veggies anyways! So yesterday I went to Home Depot with Dusty were she helped me pick out the things I needed! So then I came home and planted my tomato in the pot (with a hole at the bottom), planted my onions, as well as the cilantro (no picture because there is nothing to see yet!)!! Dusty and her husband planted peppers, and got way to many, so as soon as they are big enough to transfer, she is going to be giving me some of their peppers! I also need to go get some garlic!!! I am excited to have my "first garden" that has more then 1 vegetable! Hopefully some day I'll have a garden big enough to plant all of the vegetables that we love!
Now only if we could grow an Avocado tree, we would save lots of money!

Cabo San Lucas Day 6

Today was the last full day in Cabo San Lucas!! We arrived at the pool around 10 o'clock! I really am going to miss the lazy days by the pool just laying out and being waited on!! We ate lunch by the pool! I have gotten the same food for lunch everyday that we have been by the pool! A club sandwich with fries, and Dave has gotten a variety of different foods over the day! We always say to each other, "Remind me to take a picture of lunch!" But we have yet to remember when its in the moment!! Then Shannon and I headed over to the spa for my last time! We didn't stay very long, but showered and then came back to the condo and got ready!! For dinner we went to a very nice restaurant that was in the resort that we stayed at! We had balcony seating, and it was pretty chilly outside! After we were done eating we headed up the our condo and started packing everything to leave tomorrow! We are so sad!!!

Cabo San Lucas Day 5

Today was another relaxing day! This morning we got to the pool a little later then the other days! Today we went to a pool called The Sky Pool! This one is located on top of a little mountain/hill! We were only there a few hours until the Chacons, Dave and I went into town for some lunch! We went to a little Mexican Restaurant called Gardenias. It was really good! Dave had a Chicken, BBQ Pork, and a BBQ Beef taco! I had a Chicken and Cheese Quesedilla and we shared a side of rice and beans! After Dave, Shannon, Harrison, Brooke and I walked around the town and looked all of the flee markets!! Sadly Dave and I didn't see anything that was a must buy, but Shannon and Harrison found a few things! So after about an hour of that we came back to the Monte Cristo where we took naps and watched some T.V! For dinner Rich made Steak and Potatoes! It tasted really good!!! A little while after dinner we watched a sideshow on Kayla's laptop of all of the pictures that have been taken in Cabo!! After that Diane made amazing smoothies, and everyone got ready for bed!! I am so sad that we only have 1 day left!!!

Cabo San Lucas Day 4

I cant believe that I am here posting again about the ending of Day 4! This trip has gone by so fast!! Today was a bit more exciting! We left to the Rose' pool again today around 10! We hung out at the pool, swam at the beach, took pictures ate lunch and relaxed!! Then around 3, we drove to a parking lot where we then hiked to Lovers Beach!! The hike was SO fun!!! From stories I had heard I thought it was going to be a very hard long hike, but it was not!! It probably only took 15 minutes, and I did it barefoot!! First we walked along the beach and then we had to hike up and then down some rocks and then we arrived!! We took some fun pictures, and explored a bit! Then we hiked back to the cars! For dinner Diane and Rich made Salmon and Pork Burritos (for those who didn't like Salmon)!! David has the camera right now, so I don't have any pictures, so I will download them later!!!

Cabo San Lucas Day 3

Here we are on Day 3!! I am SO sad time has been going by SO fast!! Today was another very relaxing day at the pool/beach and the spa!! Sadly we only have 3 full days left!! The Mexico sun is SO hot, and Im getting kinda red but I am ADDICTED to the sun!!!! I have been using LOTS of lotion, so hopefully I wont peel!!!
So last night all of us went to get ice cream at Dairy Queen! It was a little bit of a walk, but fun to see Cabo at night! After that Charlie, Diane, Josh, Dave and I went into some clubs down here!! First off was Cabo Wabo! This was an older crowd, but the band that was playing was really good!!! Besides getting beer split on Dave and Josh we had a good time! Next we headed over to El Squid Row, this is a younger crowd. . .around our ages! I didn't like this one as much because EVERYONE (well most everyone) was drunk and dancing very dirty, it wasnt the most comfortable sitution, but it made me grateful to have grown up in a family with such high values! It also made me grateful to my inlaws for raising such a good boy that has high values as well!!!
So today we slept in a little longer because we got home late last night! We headed to the pool around 11!! This time we went to the Rose' (that apostrophe should be above the e)! This time-share has a beach that you can swim in the water!! So we laided out at the pool for awhile, took a walk down the beach and swam in the ocean and then headed back to the pool!! Nancy, Matt, Dave, Josh, Kayla, Cozy and Shannon all played Water Volleyball! All except for Cozy and Shannon were on the winning team! They all won Free Beers or Margaritas!! So they all got Virgin Margaritas!!! Then the girls (Cozy, Kayla, Shannon and I) went to the Spa for 2 1/2 hours!! The hot tub's heater was broken but it wasn't bad! Cozy and I went into the cold plunge together and we got it on camera! Its on Kaylas camera, so Ill get it soon!!! And then that brings us to now! The parents are out to eat and we are staying in tonight!!!

Cabo San Lucas Day 2

Today we got up around 9 ate breakfast and then around 10 we went to the main pool!! The Monte Cristo (the condo where we are staying) has 4 sister resorts and a main lobby with a pool, restaurant, spa etc!! So we hung out at the pool and ordered lunch there and just enjoyed the sun!! Rich and Nancy (my in laws) did a time-share presentation and got 500 dollars worth of food at the restaurant so that's what we ate!! A little after 3, Cozy, Shannon and I went to the Spa!! Diane (Aunt) and Nancy got massages and the rest of us went to the saunas!! We first went to the Steam Sauna! We laid down on the benches and had cucumbers over our eyes!!! It was insanely relaxing! They also had these really cold/damp washcloths that smelt like Eucalyptus that you put on your face or neck!!! Then after awhile we went and sat in a hot tub, and then after a while we got in what they call a Cold Plunge! It is FREEZING water, I don't even know how to explain it! It is SO SO SO cold! So pretty much you plunge yourself in very fast and then you hurry and get back in the hot tub! Apparently its really good for your pores!! We are going to take a camera with us next time and video each other getting into the cold plunge!! Afterward we showered and got ready and then came back to the condo and made hamburgers! The night is not even near an end!! Right now everyone getting ready to paint the town Mormon style!!!

Cabo San Lucas

Hello to everyone from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico!!! Dave and I were lucky enough to get time off work to enjoy a relaxing warm family vacation! David's Uncle Charlie owns a luxury condo in Cabo, and it seriously is the MOST beautiful resort that I have EVER been to!!! So Saturday Matt, Cozy, Dave and I drove to Corona, California! Saturday night we went to Brandon and Julie Sistrunk's wedding!! It was GORGEOUS!! After the Temple Ceremony (her dress was SO pretty!) There reception was held at the Eynon's.

Sunday we went to church and then relaxed at the Chacons! Later on Josh, Dave and I went to visit good friends, Robby and Courntey Hundley!! Then Monday we woke up VERY early and drove to LAX, and flew to Cabo San Lucas!!! We had to wait in line at customs and the rental cars and what not! Then later we went to a nearby Costco and stocked up on groceries!!! The resort that we are staying in is AMAZING!! We have had a fun time enjoying the hot tub and the heated Infinity Edge Pool!!!!!The car furthest away is a Nissan that is rented out to the Newlyweds (Matt, Cozy, Dave and I)! The Chevy is the Skaggs, and then the Chacons have a Topless Jeep!

2010 Kia Soul

So last year after we got rid of the Pontiac and got the Toyota, Dave let me take the new car, and he drove the 1992 Honda! Recently Dave has been talking about getting a new car, so one day we stopped into the KIA Dealership here in Provo, and a few hours later, and lots of signing papers, walked out with this:
The 2010 KIA Soul! Ours is black though! The dealer told us that we purchased the first KIA Soul in Utah, but we don't really believe that! I'm not a fan of the boxy look of the car, but Dave really likes it, and it is his car!

Also for those of you that haven't heard, my little sister Shelby, and her husband Tom just found out that they are expecting there first baby!!!! We are SO excited for them!!

Daisies & Plumeria

"Welcome spring with Daisies! This fun and flirty warmer brings a fresh, modern look to your home. Inspired by the bright colors of Gerbera daisies, brilliant red blossoms dance against a glossy, black background. When the lid is in place and the warmer is off, the vent holes mimic the dark centers of these playful and popular flowers. When in use, the light from within enhances the yellow highlights on the interior edges of the petals.""Plumeria Hawaiian plumeria and night-scented jasmine mingled with succulent pear."

I cant wait to smell this! Please let me know if you'd like to order them, they are both 10% off in April!!! So now that it is 12:39am, and I have a migraine from crying from the Biggest Loser, I am off to bed!!!

A Series of Unfortunate Events

That is what this year seems to be so far, A Series of Unfortunate Events!!! First the car wreck (that we still have not heard back from). Then our house was flooded, and a week later, they had to shut off our hot water for some strange unknown reason and jackhammer a hole in our floor!! It has now been a week and we STILL HAVE NO HOT WATER!!! I have taken so many cold showers, I don't think I can do it again! And then when I think that maybe we can continue on with our lives and not have any more problems, this happens!!!!
So its 12:30AM and I am sleeping, I am awoken by Moscow crying over and over and over again! So I woke up and turned on the light! My parents give the dogs these bones that have marrow inside them and tissue or something around the ends! That it was it shown stuck around Moscow's teeth!! So I ran over to Dave with Moscow and we tried for like 20 minutes to get the bone out of his mouth but had NO success and he was bleeding everywhere! So we got in the car and drove to Orem where there is an Emergency Pet Care Hospital! While waiting for the Doctor Moscow started go crazy shaking his head everywhere, and trying to paw it off which was only making him bleed more!! So after the Doctor came in and decided what she was gonna do she gave Moscow a shot that makes him relax and be sleepy! It was SO funny to seem him be SO relaxed and calm! I took pictures on my cell phone but cant find the cord, so Ill post them later!!! But then they were able to pry the bone off in about 5-10 minutes! Then they had to give him another shot to reverse the first shot, and then another shot that was an anti-inflammatory!! So 150 dollars later, we were able to leave and come home!! And after a good night sleep Moscow seems to be doing much better but is occasionally whimpering!!! So. . .I hope that this is the last Unfortunate Event that we have this year!!!

Last Few Days!

Need I say more?!
But on a happier note. . .today Dave, Matt and I went skiing at Sundance! I haven't been skiing in a few years and was kinda nervous! But I only fell 3 times, and came out with no broken bones!!! Matt has a Season Pass up there, but through our work we were able to get passes for only $15, so we were excited!!!The weather was sunny, and fairly warm! The snow wasn't the best, it was kinda slushy, and icey, but for 15 dollar tickets, and 30 rentals, not bad! Also the Warmer and Scent for Scentsy is out this month already! I am SO excited for this warmer, and think I will be redecortaing a room around this warmer!
The March Warmer is called Boleyn. "Boleyn is a bold and dramatic interpretation of classic textiles. With black, damask-inspired designs on a white background, Boleyn will appeal to anyone looking for a fresh, crisp look. Boleyn’s square shape, embossed, black lid and detailed “feet” lend a high -end, couture feel to one of Scentsy’s most unique warmers. Boleyn makes a very personal design statement in any décor. It is perfectly suited to modern or eclectic decorating styles, or to accessorize formal rooms."
The March Scent is called Sheer Saffron. "Earthy sage, delicate white flowers and sparkling lemon with a hint of Mediterranean evergreens."

And I thought it was over!!!

Okay, so just an update on our flood situation!! They came and fixed our carpet, and then had it professionally cleaned! Then afterward, Dave, Josh and Matt were able to put back all of the furniture where it belongs! Exciting and all. . . . . right, NO! Today I am sitting at home and my doorbell rings, standing at the door are 2 men that have been working on the water pipes next door! So the one man starts to tell me that something is wrong with our pipes as well!! Then he tells me that they will be coming over in the morning around 8:30 or 9:00am, to find out what the problem is and to fix it! So after they leave I start thinking. . .there are no exposed pipes in my house, so they are most likely going to be drilling and jack hammering my wall!! Lets home that it doesn't turn out like the picture above!! Oh, and to top it off, we will have NO hot water today or tomorrow!!!

When It Rains. . . It Pours

(This is a long one. . .it covers many things!!)
So. . .my title should really be something more like this, "When Its Winter Pipes Freeze and Burst, When Its Warm, It Leaks Into My House!" But I decided that that was much to long for a title! But yes my blog stalkers. . .our family room got flooded!!! I woke up from a short little nap and got off of the couch and my feet were SOAKED, and then as I looked over, Moscow was drinking the water that pooled in our entryway!! So I freaked out and didn't know what to do cause Dave was at work (Well he wasn't at work really. . .he was going skiing with his boys)! Thankfully Dave hadn't left yet and was able to run home for about 5 minutes!! Dave was able to find the HOA guy and they turned off the water! It turns out that our neighbors (No one lives there they are fixing it up) pipes froze and burst, so it wasn't JUST water either. . .it was dirty water!!!

If you click and enlarge this picture, look by Moscows mouth and you can see that he is drinking the water, and it gives you a better idea how much had gathered there! There are also some ripples behind his legs!

So after 2 hours of using our carpet cleaner to soak up water, I had to leave to go to work and there was still so much water that when walking around you could still hear it slushing!! I went and told the HOA guy and he asked me to leave our house unlocked because he had people coming to rip out the padding and put fans and a dehumidifier. So this is what I came home to after work!!! (The first couple are of our kitchen where everything is being stored!)

I cant wait for the carpet to dry and get new padding, and everything back to normal!!!!

Okay so my mom sent me an email that I thought was very interesting!! So I am going to just paste and copy it!!!
"Whoever looks at the end of your aluminum foil box? You know when you try to pull some foil out and the roll comes out of the box. Then you have to put the roll back in the box and start over. The darn roll always comes out at the wrong time. Well, I would like to share this with you. Yesterday I went to throw out an empty Reynolds foil box and for some reason I turned it and looked at the end of the box. And written on the end it said, Press here to lock end. Right there on the end of the box is a tab to lock the roll in place. How long has this little locking tab been there? I then looked at a generic brand of aluminum foil and it had one, too. I then looked at a box of Saran wrap and it had one too! I can't count the number of times the Saran wrap roll has jumped out when I was trying to cover something up."
So after reading this I jumped up and ran into the kitchen, and sure enough on our no name brand there is the same Press here to lock end tab!! So I took a picture for all those non believers! However, our Saran Wrap sadly did not have it!!!

Also earlier this week we were able to go home for Martin Luther King Day!! Ever since I got engaged my dad had always said that he was going to tear down my bedroom wall and make a bigger family room! He had always said that it was going to be the day after I was married!! Well about 3 years later he finally go to work!! This is what it looks like so far!So, on Monday my Grandparents, 2 aunts, my mom and I went to lunch and Joy Luck in Bountiful!! Afterward we went and visited my cousin who is pregnant and just had kidney stone surgery! Her 4 year old boy was not letting her rest, so I offered to take her little boy!! We had SO much fun, this kid seriously is my favorite little boy ever and has SUCH an imagination!!! He brought his snow stuff so he could go play in the snow with the dogs!!!
After playing in the snow he decided to play with the Moscow inside!! He had a pair of gloves that when he put them on he became a "Super Hero Dog Fighter Trainer"! I had to video it because it was SO funny!! (Let me know if the video doesn't work!) When it was time to go home, my parents have told Trey that he could keep Moscow, and Trey was VERY set on it, but didn't have to big of a problem when hes parents told him No!!!

The New Year So Far

So this New Year has been already so fun of surprises, some good, some not so good!!!
So a few Mondays (1-5) ago, Dave and I drove home to visit with our families! My sister and her husband were planning on coming over as well, so we decided to order pizza!!! Those of you that drove ANYWHERE that Monday know that it was a blizzard outside!! Dave got off work at 3, so we were off by around 3:45! My friend Jen needed a ride to Bountiful so she came with us!!! We also had to stop in Salt Lake to drop off our vacuum that broke! So after about a 2 hour drive to Salt Lake we made it safely to the vacuum store! Next off Bountiful, that took awhile because we hit rush hour traffic, not fun!! So after dropping off Jen, we order the pizza and we were on our way!! Traffic was SO bad AND we were in the snow so it was a recipe for disaster!!! So in the middle of Centerville and Farmington, Dave and I were rear ended. . .in MY CAR! But no worries, no one was hurt and there is only about $400 dollars damage to my cars bumper! So while we were waiting for the Highway Patrol to show up, our dogs were getting very restless, so luckily I had a leash in my car and was able to let them out!!! After we filled out all of the paper work and what not we were on our way to my parents. Once we got there we ate pizza and played the Wii!!! But now after making the claim to the insurance companies, the lady who rear ended us is claiming that we cut her off, which is NOT true! So frustrating, but I will keep you up dated for sure on that!

Tuesday (1-6) after I got out of the shower and came downstairs, Dave decided to decorate!! This is what I now have in my LIVING ROOM!!! I told him that it was coming down after the game and he could put it up in the spare room, he wasn't happy and said it was not!!! Moscow was not a fan of Kobe either at first, he kept growling and staring at it!!! So we will see because I do not think that YELLOW and PURPLE match my living room!!!

So in October I decided that for Christmas I wanted to get David a football signed by some of the BYU football players! Keep in mind this was in October when BYU had been doing well!! So, I work with a girl who is related to one of the players and she was kind enough to help me out in the process!! However, the football didn't get back to me until after Christmas!! It was by far the best gift I have ever given, and thought I would share it!!

A little late. . . .

So I know that this posting is a little behind, but better late then never right?! Our November has been pretty busy!!
First off, for my sisters birthday (November 2) my brother and I bought 6 Jazz tickets! So we gave 2 of them to my sister and her husband and then we each kept 2, and took dates! I of course to Dave, and my brother took Kelsey Campbell! So we went on November 24! Unfortunately the Jazz lost to the Chicago Bulls, but it was a very close game! They lost by 1 and it was a the buzzer!!! Our seatsWe still had fun however! Thanks Tom, Shelby, Kyle and Kelsey for coming!
On Thanksgiving, Dave and I were lucky enough to be able to go home for a couple of hours! Although we were very rushed and dinners were running late, and we didnt get to eat much, it was still fun to see everyone!!!We also were able to set up our Christmas Tree. . well, Dave set it up, and I decorated it!!! Its nothing amazing, but I like it!!!

Baja Mexico Cruise

Dave and I just returned from the Baja Mexico Carnival 5 Day Cruise! We went with 14 other members of my family! We had been planning this trip for about 7-8 months, and are very sad that is it is no over!!! But we are so thankful that we were able to go with family, and hope that some day we will be able to go with all of our family!!! We took SO many pictures it is going to be so hard to chose which ones to post!!!

We left on November 15, Saturday and flew into San Diego!! It was my Dad and Jamie's (my cousin) birthday!!! Boarding the Elation (our ships name) was a long process, but very exciting!!! Our cabin was on the Rivera Deck, that was on Floor 4!! We were room 130!
November 16, Sunday was "Fun Day At Sea". It was a very fun relaxing day at sea!!! In the morning the boys all entered a Volleyball Tournament!! Unfortunately Dave and Kyle got stuck with a man we like to call "Stormin Normin'"! (Norman is the old man in blue shorts!)He was lets just say not very good!! So they didn't make it past the first round! By my Dad and my cousins Matt and Adam took first place and got awesome trophies!!! After that we went to the Sports Deck and played Miniature Golf!! It was very difficult because of the swaying of the boat, and also the constant wind!!! For the dinners at night, our group really lucked out and got an AWESOME waiter!! His name was Michael and he was from St. Vincent!! He was SO much fun, and was on top of everything!!! We also got pretty lucky and and had 2 tables, and only 1 other couple that was not related to us, and they are LDS!! It was a match made in heaven!!!! Sunday night was the formal night on the boat, so here are pictures from that!!!
Grandpa & Grandma Whiting

Adam & Brittany Wall (My cousin & her husband)
Jim & Sue (The couple not related to us)
Bart & Wendy Smith (My parents)
Dave & I
Kyle & Michael (My Brother & Our Waiter)
Matt & Jamie Merrill (My cousin & his wife)
Greg & Vickie Merrill (My Uncle & Aunt)
Jeff & Debbie Whiting (My Uncle & Aunt)
Not Present: Cody Whiting
At the dinners they had some of the best deserts that I have ever had in my life!!! I am not a big desert or ice cream fan, but my favorite desert was called the "Warming Melted Chocolate Cake", it was served with French Vanilla ice cream, it was SO good!!! Dave's favorite desert was the Pineapple Sherbet, which was also amazing, and reminded us of the Dole Whips at Disneyland.

November 17, Monday was Cabo San Lucas!!! After meeting David (said in a Spanish accent) our tour guide in Cabo, we decided that we were going to go Parasailing, and Snorkeling!! First off we went Parasailing! Dave has done this previously and chose not to go! He stayed back on shore with my parents and took them to the upscale mall in Cabo!! While Kyle and I were Parasailing, as we were slowly coming back to the ship, they cut the engine, and let us sink into the water!!! It was scary, but fun!Sadly Kyle, and my Dad weren't feeling good, they caught the Ship Flu, it is a virus called Nono Virus!! The ship cant get rid of it no matter hard they clean, because people get catch this. . .don't seem to be washing there hands. . YUCK! It is pretty much just like any old regular flu. . .vomiting, and diarrhea! We also went to Lovers Beach, that is in Cabo and that is where we went Snorkeling!!! After we went snorkeling, or tour guides on the glass bottom boats, took us over to see the Sea Lions that lay out on the rock!! They were so much fun to watch and look at!! We wanted to take them home until. . .we smelt their smell, which was not pleasant!!! After our adventures at Cabo, and at the end of the night they had a Hypnotist show, and Kyle my brother was feeling better by then and came to the show!! He got picked to get hypnotized!! It was SO funny, we weren't supposed to video it at all, but I had to, and I am SO glad that I did!!! If any of you know my brother, know that in the following video. . is not really something he would do normally in front of a big crowd of people!!! To explain about the video. . the first video the Hypnotist told them that they were at a movie theater watching the sadest movie they have ever seen. Everytime they hear they word sad, they get sadder. At the beginning of the video the Hypnotist told them to use there neighbors shirts as tissues.
video
November 18, Tuesday was another "Fun Day At Sea". . . .that's what others called it, I called "Not So Fun Day At Sea", why because I had the Nono Virus!!! I'm not really sure what others did, but I sat in the cabin and watched TV for awhile, and then decided that warm fresh air may help!! They boys entered another Volleyball Tournament, however no one was successful at winning any trophies this time!!

November 19, Wednesday was our day at Ensenada!!! We took a tour, and had to ride in a bus threw the town of Ensenada! Our tour guide Heidi, sure loved her little town and could talk about it ALL DAY!!! There were some very pretty parts of the bus ride, but overall, the bus was cramped and bumpy!! Our bus driver took us to the Blow Hole! Unfortunately it was a low tide, so the Blow Hole wasn't all that we expected. . however the shopping market by the Blow Hole, was much more then we expected. . at least more then I expected! I seriously felt like a Celebrity or something, everyone was calling us "Amigo" and everyone wanted to talk to us, and for us to be in there store. . .after a couple of my "Amigos" talking to me I realized its not me they want. . .its my money!!! I left Ensenada with 2 Chanel purses (one of which the zipper is ALREADY broken) and Dave bought a pair of Sunglasses! Because this was the last night, many of my family members celebrated it by ordering Virgin Bar drinks!!! We had to get this picture of my Grandparents sippin' on a Virgin Margarita, and of course, Dave "drunk" off of water!!!
November 20, Thursday was sadly the day we ended our cruise!! Unfortunately the Nono Virus decided to strike again, and got my cousins husband Adam!! After waiting for all of our luggage and disembarking the boat, we took a taxi to the airport!!! Once there we learned our flight was 20 minutes delayed, then later we heard it is 40, and then it was 60 minutes! So we ended up getting home a lot later then we expected, but overall our trip was very exciting and fun!

Halloween!

Our Halloween, was not very exciting!! No trick-or-treating, no parties, just work!! Unfortunatly Dave and I both had to worked on Halloween and we were both pretty bummed!!! David didn't dress up, but 2 of my co-workers (Mandi Unga and Brooke Allen) and I decided that we really wanted to dress up. . .in our pajamas!!
We always have some kind of food that we are eating while at work, so we decided that we were going to be couch potatoes!!! We had a lot of food, candy and chips to help make our outfit complete! I also learned, that Salt and Vinegar chips taste WONDERFUL with Salsa! Thanks Brooke for making me try it!
The teenage girls that we work, with were given tons of candy to eat as they watched a movie. So we told them to save there candy wrappers so we could use them for the pictures. . . so no, we didn't really eat all of that candy!! But we did help!
Also for dinner on Halloween, the kitchen staff ordered pizza for the staff and girls for dinner!! They ordered way to many so, each staff was given a box to take home!!
Over all, Halloween was very laid back and an easy day at work!! Thanks Latu for taking out pictures!

Castle of Chaos / Kyle J Smith

So this last weekend, Dave and I were able to get work off and go to our parents Saturday and Sunday!! Saturday night, Dave and I met up with Matthew and Cozy in Salt Lake and we went to the Castle of Chaos!! It was alot of fun to hang out with them!! Castle of Chaos was scary, but I think that it was scarier last year and that could have been because last year I went with all girls, but I really do just think that it was better last year! Also we participated in the Vampire Murder Mystery. For all those thinking about doing it, it is much to confusing, and they don't give you enough time!! Thanks Matt and Cozy for coming with us!!!So our main trip up to good ol Fruit Heights, was to see my little brother receive the Melchizedek Priesthood. It was so excited to see my little baby brother make such a huge step in the church!! I am very thankful that he has made the changes in his life to be able to receive just a great blessing!!! I was so much fun to be there to witness this and also to have my husband be able to stand in the circle with my dad, and brother in law, and many other church leaders and friends of my brother!!

Branching Out

So today for dinner, I tried a new recipe that DID NOT have cream of chicken!!! I made Chicken Teriyaki, I got the recipe off of my friend Bethany's recipe blog!!! The recipe said to marinade the chicken for 4 -5 hours, but I've heard that the longer you marinade the chicken the better it tastes. So with that in mind, I had it marinade for about 20 hours!!!!! The outcome of this meal was wonderful!!! The chicken had so much flavor and tasted great!!! As we were dishing it out, Dave got out our pineapple that we just purchased yesterday at the store and sliced it up!! It tasted good with the meal and David even suggested that it would have been good cooked in with the rice and chicken!!!

Here is the recipe:
Chicken Teriyaki
1 stick butter
1 pkg long grain rice
2 lb boneless chicken tenders
Marinade Ingredients:
1/2 c brown sugar
1/3 c soy sauce
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp ginger
3-4 cloves, diced
2 tbsp oil
2 tsp vinegar

In a small mixing bowl (or Ziploc baggie), add all of the marinade ingredients. Mix for 5 minutes and refrigerate. Add chicken the the marinade and refrigerate 4-5 hours. Cook the rice, and place in a casserole dish. Then melt butter in saucepan and dip chicken in butter, coat both sides. Then cook the chicken in same pan until done. Put the chicken on top of the rice. The pour the remaining marinade in the frying pan and cook 10 minutes. Once the sauce is done, cover chicken with marinade. Bake at 400 for 10-15 minutes.

My Long Lost Hobby

I have always loved to scrapbook, but after Dave and I moved into our townhouse, and added 2 dogs, and 2 more "roommates", I haven't had the room or the space!!! My cousin Brittany is getting married at the end of the month and asked me if I would put together her wedding guest signature book! Like me she went against the traditional book, and wants it to be more of a scrapbook! So, I was pleased that she would even ask me because her, her mom and her sister are so creative! So tonight while the boys watched the Angels game, I sat down on the floor and started to reunite myself with my long lost hobby and scrapbooked her wedding guest signature book!!! This made me so excited for Josh and Matt to move out (tomorrow and Wednesday) because I am going to make the spare bedroom into a scrapbook room!!! I cant wait to start scrapbooking again, and I have SO many pictures that I need to do! But now because it has been so long since I have scrapbooked, I am kind of out of date! So if anyone knows of any websites or blogs with cute ideas. . .send them my way!!! Also, some of my friends at work and I are wanting to do a big party with Scentsy, Jeans, Jewelry, and Purses. . .I mean Handbags (sorry Latu), in the middle of October! I am going to be doing the Scentsy, but we need someone that can do Jeans, Jewelry and Handbags. . .so if anyone knows of anyone that sells them that would be willing to travel to Springville. . please let me know!

Matt and Mandi's Wedding

Josh and I were asked to be groomsmen for a wedding of a longtime friend, Matt Besinger to Mandi Bagley at the Winter Quarters temple in Omaha, Nebraska. We had planned on gathering a whole bunch of guys together to carpool out there, since it would be a 13 hour drive. Well, we only found one other person (garret bentley or "gayrat" is what I call him) to come, so that was that. The drive was what you could guess, extremely boring. Wyoming had a few wind power turbines that were interesting to look at, then it got dark and we drove all the way through Nebraska without getting an idea of what was around us. We got to our hotel at 3 in the morning in downtown Omaha and had to be up at 10 to make it to the sealing. We made it just fine and the Temple ceremony was one of the quickest I had ever been a part of. It seemed like they had us in an out in less than an hour, but it was a powerful sealing and a blessing to be involved with.
We then took some pictures and had some time before the reception, so we walked across the street to the Mormon Trail Visitors Center and took an abbreviated tour. We ate lunch at McDonald's (barf!) and thought we were going to die because it was so "Thug Life" down there. We then went and watched the movie "traitor", which wasn't as good as I had hoped, but interesting nontheless. We then headed for the reception which was held in a local church building and spent an hour or so there before deciding to head back home. We drove about 4 hours to Sydney, Nebraska (national headquarters for Cabella's) and slept in the car. We woke up at 6 and drove the rest of the way home. Driving 2000 miles in 2 days was not very fun and I wouldn't recommend it, but it was great to be a part of an awesome wedding. Thanks Matt and Mandi for inviting us to your special day!

Swimming and More

So the other day I tried to watch the series on the Discovery channel, Planet Earth!! I have heard so many good things about it!! However Moscow wasn't liking it at all!! He kept barking at the Elephants, and was growling at the lions!!! Sadly I was unable to watch it with all the barking and growling, so I had to change the channel!!!

Yesterday Matt, Josh, Dave and I decided around 6pm to drive up to Fruit Heights!! Matt and Josh both had stuff to pick up and drop off, and we all had laundry to do! So it was just going to be a quick trip cause Dave had class the next morning! So we packed up the dogs, and our laundry and off we were!! Kayla was at work when we left and was nice enough to bring home some boxes of pizza and also bread sticks!! They were SO yummy!! Thanks Kayla!! We decided that since Dave's parents pool is heated that we would take Moscow swimming there for his last time this summer! It was dark by the time we got up there but that didn't stop Moscow! At times we would get nervous because he would swim for SO long without taking a break, so we would put him on the raft, and he would just jump right back off into the water!!! I swear that he is a lab, not a chug!!!!! He was so much fun to watch and the boys loved playing with him in the water!! (Sorry the video is so dark. . like I said, it was at night)
video
When Moscow was swimming my parents were kind enough to watch over Chloe!!! She is scared of her own shadow as my mom puts it, and doesn't like to be around crowds of people!! Thanks Mom and Dad!!
Davids hair has also been the longest its ever been since we've been married, so thankfully Nancy was able to cut it! Thank you Nancy!!! Also Rich and Nancy just recently returned from Hawaii, and brought back shirts, and a cell phone charm for us!!!! Well, a shirt and the cell phone charm for me and a shirt for Dave!! Thanks, maybe some day we will be able to join you guys in Hawaii!!!

So this post is about Scentsy. . . .again, so if you don't read it that's fine!

Scentsy has always done a New Scent of the Month, and that whole month that scent is 10%, and it may or may not be discontinued in the next seasons catalog!! Well for the Fall/Winter Catalog, they are doing a Scent AND Warmer of the month! So I am going to try to post once a month what the scent will be and hopefully a picture of what the warmer looks like!!!The picture above is the Warmer of the Month for September!! This month there are actually 2 different colors you can chose from, Merino (the brownish one) or Libson (the bluish one). The scent of the month for September is called Peach Cobbler Cinnamon! This scent is filled with scents of "sweet, ripe peaches sweetened with brown sugar and cinnamon topped with butter crumble". I have this scent if you are wanting to smell it, its a good one!
The picture above is the Warmer of the month for October its called Lodge, perfect for any cabin! The Scent of the month for October is Vanilla Walnut! This scent is "a warm lingering fragrance created with hints of roasted walnut and sweet vanilla bean". I do not have this scent currently, but will at the end of September!!!

Just a few reminders, the Scents and Warmers of the Month are 10% off the month they are being advertised for, after that month is over, it is full price! Also you can view the catalog and even order from my website at http://scentsy.com/hayleeskaggs If you want to throw a House Party, or even just a Basket Party, let me know, as a hostess you get free and half priced items!!

Thank You!

I just want to let everyone know that I seriously have the BEST husband EVER, and brother in law!! They just returned to Nebraska from a friends wedding! Hopefully Dave will post later about their trip!! Anyways, I had to work tonight, so when I got home, they cleaned the ENTIRE house, top to bottom!!! Something that I have needed to do in so long, but have found NO motivation to do!!! If anyone has any ideas on how to have more motivation to clean, or "fun" ideas, PLEASE let me know!!! Thanks again Dave and Josh!! You guys are the best!

3 Years and Counting. . . .

September 3, 2005
Salt Lake Temple
It is finally here!! Dave and I have been married for 3 years!! They have seriously gone by SO fast!!! We have bought a house, a car, we have 2 dogs, and we are still working at the same jobs!! Its crazy to think of all the different trips and adventures that we have gone on and threw!!!

But I have seen this "tag" on several different blogs, and have wanted to do it, but I decided since our 3 Year Wedding Anniversary was just around the corner that I would save it until September 3! So here I go!!

1. What is his name? David Michael Skaggs
2. Who eats more? I eat small portions threw out the day, but Dave eats more in one sitting!
3. Who said, "I love you" first? He did!!! He said it in Russian, but wouldn't tell me what it meant, so then later on my drive home, I called my friend who knows Russian and said, how do you say I love you in Russian. . .so my friend repeated to me what Dave had said earlier, that's indeed what he told me, that he loved me!!!
4. Who is taller? Its a close call, but David is taller, by an inch or two!
5. Who is smarter? David by FAR!!!!
6. Who is more sensitive? Me by FAR!!!!
7. Who does the laundry? I wash and dry, we usually both fold and put away!!
8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do.
9. Who pays the bills? We share that, however, he pays the bigger ones!
10. Who cooks more? Mmm, when we are home, and do cook, its me!
11. Who is more stubborn? Depends on the situation!!!
12. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? Usually me, I think, but he probably would say he is!
13. Who has more siblings? David has 4, and I have 2
14. Who wears the pants in the relationship? Again, I think it depends on the topic and situation! But I usually get what I want!!! :) That's how its supposed to be, right?!
15. What do you like to do together? We love to go out to dinner, go to theme parks, sports games, movies, pretty much everything!
16. Who eats more sweets? I think that one is a tie, we both LOVE sweets!!!
17. Guilty Pleasures? He loves doing surveys on the internet, and anything that has to do with ESPN!! Also David knows EVERYTHING about Roller coasters, and Disneyland!! I love reality TV, and reading series books. . usually found in the Teen section at Barnes and Noble!
18. How did you meet? I came home from being a nanny the same week he gave his homecoming talk in church! His older brother actually gave me, his number first, so I called his older brother to come hang out, and his brother couldn't come, and gave me Dave's number, so I called Dave, and he came along with his younger brother!
19. Who asked whom out first? Well, I invited them over first, but then he asked me to come over for our real first date, to his Uncles to watch a movie with him, and his brothers and their dates!
20. Who kissed who first? He kissed me first! The first time he tried and backed out (he had just gotten off of his mission 2 weeks when he tried the first time), and then tried again a week later and was successful!!
21. Who proposed? David, outside of the Bountiful Temple! It was pouring rain, so he proposed to me in the car, and it was video taped! If I can ever find it. . .Ill post it, even though its kinda embarrasing on my part!
22. His best features and qualities? Oh my goodness, I don't even know where to start!! I can't ever stay mad at him, because it always makes me laugh for whatever reason, as hard as I try, I cant stop my smile!! That he is able to put up with me, and listen to me when I need to vent about whatever is irritating me at that time. . .even though 95% of the time, he isn't really listening, he still acts like it! He lets me drive the newer car! He always has an answer to my questions! He is my best friend, and I don't know what I would do without him!

Dave and I aren't going to be able to celebrate our 3 year anniversary for a couple of weeks, because I work until 11, and then this weekend Dave is driving to Nebraska to go to our good friends Matt Besinger, and Mandi Bagleys wedding!! I was unable to get the time off, so hopefully the weekend after that we will be able to do something fun!!! I love you David!!
***Make sure to read the post below. . .they were posted in the same day!***

Year of a Million Dreams!

Haylee and I have had Disneyland season passes since last October and got a chance to go twice this last trip down to California. Well, many of you may know, Disney Parks are in their second year of "A year of a million dreams"- which is an opportunity for guests around the world to receive special gifts at random while visiting the parks. Some of the gifts include: fast passes to all major rides, special mickey ears that cannot be bought anywhere, Disney cruise gifts, and even 1 night stays inside the castle at Disney World and in the newly constructed Dream Suite at Disneyland. (Yeah, you could stay the night inside one of the parks! Crazy!) Well, Haylee and I have been to disneyland probablt a dozen times over the last two years and had not won anything. So, when we went a few weeks ago, we didn;t really think anything would be different this trip. Well, obviously, since I'm typing this now, we actually received one of the gifts..... the Mickey Ears! Like I said, it is totally at random, and Haylee and I were walking into the Animation studio at Disney's California Adventure when one of the CM's (Cast Members) standing behind a wall told us, "Congratulations! You're at the right place at the right time!" and handed us each Mickey Ears. We were pretty excited to say the least and wanted to share our good fortune with you all. If anyone else has won anything from this contest, we'd like to hear your experience. Here is what our Mickey Ears look like:

California

So this summer, has been so fun, and filled with vacations! Dave and I recently returned home from California where we went to Disneyland on 2 different days! The first day we went to Disneyland we went with Dave's mom Nancy, and his brother Josh! We met up with Davids cousins, Jennifer, Kristina and Amanda, also Dave's Aunt Mindy, and her son Rob and his wife Jackie! We went on a few rides, and then went to lunch at Tortilla Joes. The second day we went to Disneyland, Dave and I just went by ourselves! We got to the park around 9, so we got to ride everything we wanted to!!

Dave and I were also able to go an Angels game! For those of you that dont know Dave very well, he is a HUGE Angels fan, so he was very excited that we were able to make it to a game! Unfortunately the Angels didn't do very well, and lost by 9! However every Friday Home Game the Angels have they have a big Firework show after! The firework show was amazing, and made up for the loss! We recorded the finale on our camera, but it was too long to post, so here is just a little bit of the fireworks.

video

After the Angels game, Dave and I drove out to Newport Beach to stay at Dave's aunt and uncles Beach House that they recently purchased and fixed up! CJ, Shannon (Dave's cousins) and sister Kayla were already out there!! The next morning we drove out to Laguna Beach and played at the beach for about an hour! The water in Laguna was so clear, but so cold!!
On Sunday it was Dave's cousins CJ's farewell!! CJ is reporting to the Brazillia, Brazil mission on September 3! It was so fun to be there and be able to support such a good thing!! After sacrament meeting, there was a big dinner at the Chacons house!! It was fun to be able to visit with friends and family! We were also able to visit with and we were able to hang out with Davids long time friend Robbie Hundley and his wife Courtney and theirr daughter Natalie! Below are just a bunch of pictures that we took as we were sitting around the table after the dinner!!!

We just want to thank the Chacons and Grandma Nelly for letting us stay at your places, and thanks to Brooke for letting us take over her room while we were there!!!

Breaking Dawn

Yeah, it is finally here!!! I am SO happy that I finally have it!!! So. . .for some reason everyone else in this world found out that you have to have a wristband if you reserved a copy. . .except for Megan and I! So when my sister called me around 8 talking about her wristband, I was SO confused, so I called and sure enough you have to have a wrist band!!! But the wonderfully nice lady on the phone said that they were handing them out until 11:30!! So Megan and I decided to leave at 10:50!! And for some strange reason I was thinking that Megan and I would be the only ones that wanted to get this book at 12:01!! I was not ready for what I saw!!! After waiting in line FOREVER and finding out that they weren't giving out any wristbands, but we could stay in the reserved line, and we would still be guaranteed our books, after seeing all of the pyscho people there, and after realizing, I FORGOT MY MONEY, so Megan thankfully paid for me! Thanks again Megan!!! We finally received our copies at 1:10am!!! Now, I am down with this post cause I wanna go read it!

Garrison

To all of you that may not know where Garrison is. . .that's okay!!! Because it is in the middle of NOWHERE!!! Really!!! It is about 1 and a 1/2 hour past Delta!!! This is the sign that you see when you either are leaving Garrison or Delta!!!!My family that went was, my Grandpa and Grandma, Aunt Vickie, Aunt Cindy, Uncle Jeff, Cody, Matt and Jamie and their 3 kids, Madison, Brayden and Noah! Also my moms cousin, so my Aunt Kris, and her daughter Heidi!! After checking into the Border Inn we drove to Garrison where my Grandpa Max was raised until he was 9! We first off went to the cemetery where some of my Grandpas relatives are buried!! After that we drove past the tiny LDS Chapel and my Grandpa saw his cousin!! So while they were talking Brayden (who won Gold and Silver metals for Gymnastics at the Summer Games in Ceder City) did some tricks for us, and I was able to catch it on video (I am unsure at to why I changed the position of the camera so it is sideways!!! I apologize)!! video
After were able to see the house that Grandpa Max was raised in! It is a log cabin that is barely standing!! His has SO many different stories about that tiny house!! Thankfully my Aunt Kris was able to catch alot of the stories on her video camera!!! But for now, pictures will do!!! One of the stories was that Indians one day, broke into their little log house and stole the window drapes!! Also there was a creek right by his house that they bathed in, got their water from, and played in!! The house had no running water, no electricity, no toilets!!! It was fun to see the reactions of my 2 little cousins! Brayden could not believe that someone could have ever lived like that!!! After we drove just down the street a bit to see the next house they moved into !! Also we saw the church that they went to. Then we went to a little restaurant and ate lunch!! It took forever because they only have 1 cook, and 1 waitress. . .remember its a little tiny town, and when 15 people show up. . .well lets say we about doubled the citizens of Garrison!!! Later on we went for a drive to Eskdale and drove threw a Polygamists town! Unfortunately we only saw 2 ladies, but they looked normal, but I was too scared to take a picture of them, so I got one of their run down play ground! Then we went back to the Motel videoand just sat outside and enjoyed each others company!!! The next day we started off about 10am, and drove out to Baker, and went shooting!!! While the boys were shooting, Grandma and Grandpa just relaxed and enjoyed the company of everyone!! Aunt Cindy, Kris, Heidi and I played cards and watched the boys shoot guns! Uncle Jeff and Cody brought down their guns, and also a clay pigeon thrower!! They had shot guns and a 22!! I was too scared to try the shot gun cause it looked like it hurt when it kicked back, so I just shot the 22 a few times!! Brayden was pretty brave though, and shot the shot gun!!! After that we went out the the Fish Hatchery and got there just in time to feed the fish!! Sadly my camera was dying so I was unable to take many pictures!! There was a man and his two boys there that let Madison and Brayden fish in a little river out to the side!! Brayden got a Rainbow Trout!! He was SO proud of himself!! After we went to Lehman's Cave, even though our tour guide was weird. . . (that is an understatement). . .we enjoyed it!! However my camera was completely dead, so we got no pictures of the caves!!! They were amazing though!!! Then after the 60 minute tour, we headed home!!! I just want to thank my family for letting Dave and I come along to spend time with them!! Also thank you to Megan for watching Chloe and Moscow!!! Your the best!!!
And also for those of you that watch Baby Borrowers. . .I was so sad to see that not ONE of the couples were still together!!! My favorite couple at the end was Cory and Alicia!!!

Moscows Graduation!!

So it finally came and is gone!! Moscow successfully graduated from Puppy Class at Petsmart!! It was kinda fun, they had a bunch of little games they played with the dogs, and different challenges!!! Overall Moscow was pretty side tracked and didn't do as well as he could do, but Stacey the trainer said he won for most energy and personality!!! Below are some pictures of Moscow and his friend Koda playing, a picture of Moscow and his favorite Trainer Stacey and then the video of Moscow's and his friend Koda!

Because I have to..... Dave

Yeah, nobody cares about the husbands of these blogs- so I don't really know why I feel inclined to complete this "tagged form". Maybe it's just the warm, loving guy that I am who wants to please his wife. Whatever the reason, hopefully you'll find a little something new about me.

What Was I Doing 10 Years Ago: Well, 10 years ago was 1998, I was a sophomore at Corona High School in Southern California most likely dreaming about dating hot chicks in the near future as I was still 15 years old. I had my sights set on some girls in my Seminary class that year, not knowing that I would never see most of them again come summer as my Dad decided to ship the family out to Flower Mound, Texas (near Dallas). All the nice "I'll see you next year" or "Maybe we'll have classes together as Juniors" yearbook entries were all sick lies.

What Is On My To Do List: Holy Crap! I need to finish school! I've been in school so long I'm about ready to shoot myself. I get crap form my dad almost every time I see him because I'm pretty much on the 10 year plan and he feels I'm wasting my life away. Right now I probably have 2 full years left. Give me a break though, I've been to 3 different colleges (NCTC, BYU-I, and UVSC/UVU) so I've lost ton of credits in the process.

What Are 3 Habits of Mine:
I'm glad this is not "bad habits" because I have lots of them. I wouldn't say this is a habit because I don't really enjoy doing it, but I complete online surveys for money pretty much everyday. It adds about 100 bucks of extra income each month, which I use for gas. Another habit I have which totally wastes my time is Fantasy Baseball Leagues on espn.com. I have 6 teams right now and 3 of them are in first place out of ten competing teams. The other three are doing fairly well also. Lame huh? One last habit of mine is checking out construction of roller coasters across the country and even world, now how nerdy is that?

Things You Might Not Know About Me:
I have an addiction to theme parks for some reason and I'm in the worst place to have this addiction as Utah has one lame park. I love to drive! On family vacations, I always want to drive and I usually do. I don't know if it makes me not feel sick or what, or maybe I just want to feel like I'm in control if I was ever in an accident and died- at least I'd know how it all went down. And finally, I hate half of our dogs. I want one of them gone! If anyone wants a 13 pound Chug (Chihuahua-Pug) please let me know.

4 TV Shows/Movies That I Love: T.V. shows are The Shield (I'm so upset that this is the final season ever), Nip/Tuck (o.k., don't flame me here- you probably have no idea what the show is even about, so shut-up), Dirty Jobs (Mike Rowe is one sexy beast), Deadliest Catch (extremely lame concept but so interesting to watch), any Sports game or show (Sportscenter is my second love). Movies are Wall-E, any Scary/Horror movie, College/Teen Comedy flicks, and pretty much anything old school Disney (Like Lambert the Sheepish Lion). Oh, and HSM's!

4 Jobs That I Have Had: Chick-Fil-A at Grapevine Mills, Texas for 3 YEARS!!!! All of my Texas friends should feel appreciative of the thousands of dollars of food they got for free from me. Albertson's in Flower Mound, Texas for 3 months (lame). A short stint at Pretzelmaker at the Layton Hills Mall post mission. Gandolfo's in Rexburg- I was a part of the opening day crew. Jealous? Target in Orem for 4 months (worked the toy department during the holiday season and somehow survived. People are absolute maniacs and Target showed me. And finally, I've been at Provo Canyon School in Springville, Utah for 2 1/2 years now, currently as a Supervisor. Bling, Bling.

5 Favorite Books Ive Read: I don't read much, and when I do it's usually church books, but for the sake of boredom, I'll list non-church-related books. 1. The Harry Potters 2. The Ruins 3. The last Season 4. Every Goosebumps book ever printed 5. Biography of Ezra Taft Benson (o.k. I just couldn't leave this one out!)

5 Places That I Have Lived: 1. Anaheim, Ca 2. Chino Hills, Ca 3. Corona, Ca 4. Flower Mound, Tx 4. Yaroslavel, Russia 5. Minsk, Belarus 6. Moscow, Russia 7. Nizhni Novgorod, Russia 8. Fruit Heights, Ut 9. Rexburg, Id 10. Orem, Ut 11. Pleasant Grove, Ut 12. Provo, Ut

5Favorite Foods:
1. Freakin Spaghetti (No, that's not a special kind of spaghetti, I just can't say it without the freakin in front) 2. Fast Food (doesn't matter what, that's why I've been getting so fat). 3. Pot Roast (especially when my Dad makes it) 4. Homemade Tacos (Skaggs family tradition with Ketchup) 5. Soda Pop 6. Haylee wants me to put her rolls and now she's telling me "No, don't".

5 People I Tagged:
I don't have anyone to tag, sorry. :(
